[Open] Petals & Pages - Mingle #1
♥ Who: You~ (and Vianca)
♥ Where: Shopping District - a new shop!
♥ When: January/February (Lasra/Nalom)
♥ What: Open Mingle Log
♥ Rating: Probably Pretty G
With the coming of Lasra, there was at least one new shop opening its doors in the quiet bustle of the Shopping District! There had been a distinct lack of places to simply sit in that district, but look no further if you were searching for such a spot. There are warm lights on inside, with the sights of large, comfy chairs and couches beckoning from the welcoming windows.
At times, from the same windows, you can catch sight of a pink little girl sitting near the glass, thumbing through an honest-to-goodness paper book.
Walking through the door would earn you a soft greeting. Welcome to Petals & Pages~
It's an Open Mingle Log!!
+ Shop Info is here, plus book requests.
+ Vianca will have her own top-level, and can reply to yours, but this log isn't just for interacting with her!
+ Feel free to use this post for your own plans how you please! The only House Rule is that you gotta sit with someone and get some sweet Dora, it doesn't have to be Vianca~ This includes multiple top-levels if you desire, since the log is for two months.
+ Have! Fun!!

Vianca | Pikmin [ohma] (ota)
The 'Open' sign was turned, and things were finally open for business. Or 'business' as it were. Even if nothing came from it, it was still an accomplishment!
And so when new visitors came through the door, they could find her either up front at the shop's counter or perhaps sitting on one of the big, comfortable couches. Either way, if she was not already sitting with someone, she was quick to look up and offer a soft welcome.
"Welcome. Please let me know if you have any questions."
✿ ii. Gardening
At times when either no one was in the shop or they were having their own conversations, Vianca took to settling herself down in front of the big windows. There were some daybeds there, but the main attraction was right in the middle there were big, open planters. Nothing was currently growing in them-- until! Now! Potententially.
She had some carefully handled packages of seeds, and it was about to be garden town. Almost. She was nearly there. First she was just going over these notes she had taken on her communicator several times.
Maybe the sight through the window is curious enough to want to stop in.
✿ iii. Skip Everything Else: Get Money
You were here. She was here. There was a couch. Both of you are sitting on it. Together. COOL.
ii.
Guzma passes by the little shop without batting an eye, mumbling something under his breath about what he'd like for lunch, or if he should grab 'ingredients' for something to make at home - something simple - but the large insect pauses to look at all those sad, empty little planters, turning his head to one side curiously as his claws tap lightly on the glass of the store. What are those little pots for? They're filled with dirt and nothing else! Lillie had a few of those, but they soon had flowers and weird smelling plants in them... Sometimes his Trainer would put them in food.
He rumbles, catching Guzma's attention, who double's back toward his Pokemon.]
Yo, man, I thought y'all was hungry. ...What'cha looking at?
no subject
So she looked up.
And up.
And Up.
... and gave Golisopod a tiny wave through the window. Hello.]
no subject
That is, before Guzma peels him away.]
Hellooo?! What are you do--...oh. [He blinks at the familiar child on the other side of the glass, then looks around the store a bit before tugging Golisopod toward the entrance. He's the first to poke his head in, though his nosy bug is quick to try and shove its way in as well, long neck extended over Guzma's head as his antenna smack against the bell that usually signals people entering.] Hey! Stop--wait. C'mon, man!

... Hello. I've been working on it.

It looks cute. Are those real books?
[There aren't many, but there's something weirdly comforting about seeing something that looks like a normal library or bookshop. It really can't be compared to the archives.]

II!! As promised.
Granted, her next stop should really be the long-standing libraries, though Nita had to remind herself that the most relevant texts were probably either long-lost or kept under heavy security for their own sake; it'd take a long time before she could get to see those.
But now, she'd been distracted, seeing the pink-headed girl working at planting seeds.
The door 'ding'ed as Nita stepped through.
"Er, hi! Mind if I help with those? You... seem a little lost?" she trailed off. Sure, she knew more than most the value of note-taking in anything, but it looked a little like Vianca was putting the planing off.

The tiny person looked up when suddenly a person, blinking before nodding in greeting. "Oh, hello. I am trying to make sure I remember it properly."
Despite being mostly a plant herself, the actual planting and care of plants was not something she had done a lot of. The last time she'd had anything to do with growing nectar grass, she'd had a friendly Venusaur to help take care of it. She was trying to recount what she'd remembered from that.
"Are you familiar with growing grass?"
no subject
"That's fair, I guess," Nita said, heading on over to get a better look at Vianca's setup.
"And yeah, I am; my father's a florist, but he works well with way more than just flowers when it comes to plants."
Including sentient alien species of tree (long story).
Then she belatedly realized:
"Oh, and my name's Nita. What's yours?"
Since she... never actually said on her post. Whoops?

"Gwarsh, what a place! This is really great, Vianca!"

"Hello, Goofy." She followed his gaze around the little shop for a bit, making a soft, pleased hum. "Thank you. I hope I will have more to offer someday."

So the boy decides that, he should at least take a walk outside with his crow and try to familiarize himself with the place. With any luck, he might find something familiar he could latch onto. Eventually down the street he picks up a strong sweet aroma, similar to flowers but there's something intrinsically different about it that he's sure it isn't flowers. Definitely not a flower shop. Tanjiro finds himself drawn to the smell, walking closer and closer until he finds himself in front of a bookstore.
Well. That's certainly something a bit more familiar. ]
Ah... Do you work here?
[ His eyes lands to the young(?) girl in front of him. The sweet scent is coming from her, he's not sure what she is, but he could tell that she's neither human nor demon. Tennouji Matsuemon leaves his shoulder and circles around the two, however he remains quiet. ]
googling tennouji matsuemon furiously
That is correct.
[Her gaze fell neatly back on him, and she politely bowed her head.]
Welcome to Petals & Pages. I'm Vianca.
got u covered https://youtu.be/aRB9FY3IiBs
My name is Tanjiro Kamado, my friend and I just got here a few days ago. Oh, this is Tennouji Matsuemon.
[ He tries to signal the bird to land on his arm, but he scoffs and continues to fly above them. ]
Ah... I'm sorry about him. Do you work here by yourself?

1!
Instead of getting familiar with the streets, Zenitsu finds himself being more worn out than before, that is until he hears a familiar, quiet sound he's gotten to pick up shortly after arriving here. He follows after the sound to find a nice cozy place and enters the store to find Vianca greet, and he gives a relieved smile in response.
A chance to get away from all the unfamiliar sounds, as well as another opportunity to talk to the little girl! ]
Hi Vianca-chan! I thought I heard your sound! Is this your store?
no subject
Hello again, Zenitsu. It is.
[She pointed next to her.]
Would you like to sit?
no subject
[ When Vianca gestures to the spot next to her, Zenitsu takes a moment to figure out why. Invitation from girls is almost never back at home, so it's still a thing that Zenitsu still needs to get used to. ]
Eh? Really?
[ Even while questioning Zenitsu's looking super happy because he's a teenage boy. He'll move closer to the chair, all the while moving weirdly. ]

i. v's cute, c's cute, all cute
She isn't an avid reader, but she did want to bring more music to the town, so she hoped a place that seemed to have some books would give her a better idea of the culture she was working with. Maybe it'd inspire her!
She peeks her nose in first, then an ear, then her whole head finally appears.
And then comes the greeting. ] Ah - ! Hi! [ Seeing a cute girl like Vianca immediately calms her down. As she starts to move in further, she quickly begins to notice the shop is a little... bare of books. Her face changes as she looks around, perhaps something like disappointment crossing her, but in either case, it was still a cute space. ] I'm just exploring the city and was curious...
O v O
Here they were.
She caught that look, but it was okay. Vianca was still a little disappointed too. There could be more. She nodded though.]
Feel free to stay and catch your bearings. I do not have much here yet, but I can try to answer questions too.

Look at all you've built.... This is incredible, Vianca.
[ She gaze turns from the shop to her, proud and happy for her. ]
no subject
Thank you. [She even sounded a little proud of herself!]
I hope it is helpful.

[ Yep, this is a wonderful cuddle. Have a hand atop your head, patting it lightly but mindful of the flower.
Then, softly: ]
...You've been thinking about what may be good for others here, building this place. It shows.
