[Open] Petals & Pages - Mingle #1
♥ Who: You~ (and Vianca)
♥ Where: Shopping District - a new shop!
♥ When: January/February (Lasra/Nalom)
♥ What: Open Mingle Log
♥ Rating: Probably Pretty G
With the coming of Lasra, there was at least one new shop opening its doors in the quiet bustle of the Shopping District! There had been a distinct lack of places to simply sit in that district, but look no further if you were searching for such a spot. There are warm lights on inside, with the sights of large, comfy chairs and couches beckoning from the welcoming windows.
At times, from the same windows, you can catch sight of a pink little girl sitting near the glass, thumbing through an honest-to-goodness paper book.
Walking through the door would earn you a soft greeting. Welcome to Petals & Pages~
It's an Open Mingle Log!!
+ Shop Info is here, plus book requests.
+ Vianca will have her own top-level, and can reply to yours, but this log isn't just for interacting with her!
+ Feel free to use this post for your own plans how you please! The only House Rule is that you gotta sit with someone and get some sweet Dora, it doesn't have to be Vianca~ This includes multiple top-levels if you desire, since the log is for two months.
+ Have! Fun!!

[It was brief, but her eyes definitely lit up a bit at both of these things. Even if he missed it though, Vianca was already sliding under the counter so she could grab his hands with eager excitement.]
They are...!
[Let her drag you over to them!! Look! At these! Books!!!!]
no subject
Where'd they come from? The temple?
no subject
One of the priests handed me a package they were very sure was for me. I did not think so, but--
[Vianca reached up to grab the book on the shelf that looked a bit different from the other ones. Those ones were very much a set and professionally bound, while the one she'd picked seemed more like a... self-published sort of deal.]
This one is definitely from home. When Olimar was there, he compiled all his notes into a book.
[Vianca glanced up at him, knowing full well Noctis had no idea who that was.] He was the one that discovered Pikmin.

Want to show me?
[She can decide! He'll temper his curiosity based on how she responds. It's not the biggest deal to him.]
no subject
[She wasn't about to say no after pointing it out so plainly, but she appreciated the confirmation. There was another of the big comfy couches right near the shelf, and Vianca led him over to it, book in hand.
Let's! Get! Comfy!]
There are lots of notes about all the sorts of things he found on the planet he found us on.
no subject
Do you know what it was called?
no subject
No. At least, if it has a real name I do not know it. Olimar only referred to it as variations of the Pikmin Planet.
no subject
So who's Olimar? Besides the guy who found you.
no subject
[It was chance after chance that Vianca was even here. It was a chance that Olimar crash landed on the Pikmin planet, a chance he'd crashed amongst the Pikmin, a chance he'd settled down in Final Destination with the seeds he'd taken from the planet.]
I sprouted in the garden he had at his home near the school, so... The notes read more like a story, to me.
no subject
[A whole lot of ancient tales tangentially relevant to him and his world, but not what one would call a shared experience like history. It was always too vague for that.]
no subject
The Cosmogony?

[Maybe someday she could somehow get her greedy hands on a copy. Wouldn't that be fun and magical.]
It does feel a little similar to that, when I read through this. Though it may be a bit more "what might have been" than "what could be." [Luckily, she didn't sound very upset by this.]
no subject
[It'd be nice to see it again, at least. Luna might be happy.]
If you'd grown up on that planet instead of your school, you mean?
no subject
Yes. I would not be here if that had been the case. Though I suppose stowing away may have been an option. There are a few entries that indicate that we got into plenty of mischief.
[She slid her finger down a few lines of text.]
"The Pikmin are as curious as children! They form groups to perform tasks that would be impossible for an individual. A glimmer of hope as begun to shine in my heart - if I can make use of their skills, perhaps I can fix my ship!"
no subject
[Well, she could do an awful lot of heavy lifting on her own. It makes sense that a group of them could accomplish plenty together.]
I hope he at least remembered to say thank you.
no subject
[We? They? She wasn't sure.]
I did not know him very well, he was always a bit pre-occupied before he left.

We were just pikmin in the garden. We didn't need very much. When some of us decided to go to the school, we just stayed there in the dorms.
no subject
Everybody needs some help when they've just been born. He should've looked after you.
no subject
[She frowned a little, looking back at the pages as she turned them.]
I think we scared him.
no subject
[Least intimidating child he's ever met, besides maybe Talcott, since she admittedly can left big rocks over her head.]
no subject
[She lightly tapped the entry after she read it.]
Besides, being responsible for lives is scary. I looked after my sisters, and it was hard sometimes.
no subject
[His tone is firm on this; he will not be deterred. Kids! Should be! Cared for!]
no subject
I suppose he thought the school would be alright for that even after he left. My sisters all found better families there, so it worked in a way.
