With the coming of Lasra, there was at least one new shop opening its doors in the quiet bustle of the Shopping District! There had been a distinct lack of places to simply sit in that district, but look no further if you were searching for such a spot. There are warm lights on inside, with the sights of large, comfy chairs and couches beckoning from the welcoming windows.

At times, from the same windows, you can catch sight of a pink little girl sitting near the glass, thumbing through an honest-to-goodness paper book.

Walking through the door would earn you a soft greeting. Welcome to Petals & Pages~

[She frowned a little, looking back at the pages as she turned them.]

I think we scared him.

[Least intimidating child he's ever met, besides maybe Talcott, since she admittedly can left big rocks over her head.]

"When I see the Pikmin engaged in fierce battle with other creatures of this world, I often grow uneasy wondering why they never attack me... Could it be that they actually view me as a parental figure? A strange, disturbing thought..."

[She lightly tapped the entry after she read it.]

Besides, being responsible for lives is scary. I looked after my sisters, and it was hard sometimes.

I guess, sure. But if you grow a person then you can't just abandon them, no matter how they're born. If he couldn't take care of you, he should've found someone to do it instead of just leaving you to do whatever.

[His tone is firm on this; he will not be deterred. Kids! Should be! Cared for!]

[Vianca didn't disagree, but she couldn't change the reality of what happened to suit this.]

I suppose he thought the school would be alright for that even after he left. My sisters all found better families there, so it worked in a way.

Vianca, where do you even live?

[A topic that had been skirted around several times between showing newcomers to the housing district or casual night time heart-to-hearts. At least this time she had a sincere answer, so everything was fine. She couldn't say she'd completely beaten winter, but her plan had gone more or less smoothly.

She wasn't taking up anyone's space, she wasn't getting underfoot, and no one had had to feel obligated to worry about her. A success.]

I live here.

But you just got this place. What about before that?

[That answer is even more suspicious.]

Other places. There was a house when I needed it, but I did not like it very much so I did not stay there often.

There's a whole bunch of us here! There's no reason for anybody to be living alone.

You should stay with us. There's an extra room at my place.

[Vianca stared up at him, unprepared for that invitation. There was a part of her that was very, very happy, but a much louder part wanted to remind her that every room mate she ever had left very quickly after. Besides, there were already three people in Noct's house? And dogs? There was a lot going on!]

... No, thank you. [Oh, she slipped. Pause.]

I would not want to take a spot Gladio could have, or make anyone feel they have to look after me. Thank you. I am okay.

Vi, come on. This isn't okay.

[He gestures around to the shop. It's cute and all, but it's also a store, little more than a place to take shelter and sleep. it's not a home.]

There's two open rooms at my place, since Luna mostly uses mine anyway. And it's not even like you take up that much space. At least think about it?

[She looked around at what he gestured towards, not understanding what wasn't okay with the things she had worked on. She'd been so happy to find her old keys had worked on the doors. Everything was different, but just that little thing had made it feel like she had stepped back into a space that was familiar and hers. If she thought of a 'home,' she thought of the library.

So what was possibly wrong with this? She couldn't see the problem, because she didn't know any other option. She didn't want to intrude on their own lives when she had finally made sure she wouldn't have to.]

... I will think about it.

...Okay.

[And he'll drop it, although with some reluctance. He doesn't like the idea of her being on her own - and he makes a mental note to check in on her more often, now that he knows - but he can't exactly drag her home with him. ...Well, he could, but it wouldn't keep her there. "I have seen that, at times, the leaf atop a Pikmin's head will grow into a bud and then a flower. It appears that if I do not pick the Pikmin sprouts, they gradually bloom over time. Fascinating! This melding of plant and animal traits is surely unique in the natural world!"

He doesn't mention it, but nectar grass makes our flowers bloom too. [Here is a point! Towards one of the window planters!]

I got some seeds with the books too.

[Maybe one day you'll get it, Vianca.

He follows her pointed finger with a curious tilt of the head.]

Do you know what the seeds were for?

I am pretty sure they were for nectar grass. [She sounded very nearly jazzed about it.]

I have only just started planting some, so I am not sure, but maybe. Its nectar is very sweet, like honey.

That's cool. Is it like that for anybody, or just Pikmin?

[He kind of wants to try wacky sugar flower juice, so sue him.]

[He's in luck!]

Anyone can try some. It won't make you bloom or anything, but if I am able to grow it I would like to harvest some for a drinks.

In that case, can't wait to try it.

[Well, he will wait, but he's intrigued.]
