Welcome to Hugtopia, and to the city of Havenwell. This mingle is meant for new arrivals to get settled and meet the other inhabitants. New characters should be the only top-levels but everyone should feel free to tag around and make new friends. Who knows, you may find that Perfect Hug in here. You can use the prompts here, or create a wildcard of your own.

ICly, this takes place from the 2nd to the 15th and then we'll have a shiny new event post up for you all soon after that date range. The prompts below are optional, but are a way to get you started if you wish. To help you create your own prompts, please take a look through our Settings and FAQ. Click on each prompt's title to see the text. If you have any questions, feel free to direct them to the FAQ or to the Mod Question thread below.

❥ PROMPT I: Awakening

When you awaken, you're in the last outfit you remember wearing, three of your belongings laid nearby or your animal friend curled up by you, waking as you do. It's not the most comfortable place to sleep, a stone slab, but once you're awake, a humanoid-looking robot comes in and explains you're in Havenwell and leads you out of the room and into the main portion of the temple where a welcoming committee of similarly humanoid-looking robots hand over a clear smartphone-sized tablet, some starting funds, and explain their dilemma. Then they release you into Havenwell to pick your new home from free housing in the city and give you the chance to settle. It might be a bit disorienting, but thankfully there seem to be a lot of robots and even some non-robots around. Maybe ask them for help?

❥ PROMPT II: The Great Havenwell Hunt

Now that you've arrived in Havenwell and are getting to know your area, the city's council has created a new and exciting way to get to know your new home! Isn't that fun? This game is one best played with others as some of the challenges can be difficult for those just arriving in the world of Aellyn: a most glorious scavenger hunt! As you leave the temple, the priests explain to you to how to use the communication devices and point you toward the Scavenger Hunt's network page which is appropriately over-excited to see you here in Havenwell. The page lists several randomized clues to items and places within the city for you to explore and collect. Find a buddy, complete the list, and turn in your items to your temple priest in order to win a fabulous and mysterious prize. Clues to your items include, but are not limited to:

Take a picture with your buddy in front of where the offworlders saved our city. We would not be alive without you!

These temporary and delectable trees are hard to find hidden among their brethren, but in their branches edible gold awaits you! Bring one of these fruits to your priest.

Eight arms outstretched to protect our home, take a picture with you and a friend emulating their poses.

A magical helmet only the offworlders can use. Put it on and find yourself somewhere completely new! Bring the receipt of a game played to complete this item.

In these lofty towers, we learn about our world and yours. Pick up a memento from their gift stores!

Though they fly in the sky, they drop not feathers but scales. Take a picture with one to complete this quest!

Small but mighty, don't underestimate their strength in numbers. And they do have the greatest numbers. Take a picture with five or more of these cute little creatures to complete this quest!

Their piercing blue gaze can see the purity of your heart and their wings can help you reach the heights you deserve. Take a picture with one of these in order to complete this quest!

Languid though they may seem, these cunning beasts can become mighty hunters in an instant. But they seem rather weak to things that swish. Take a picture with two or more of these animals in order to complete this quest!

Feel free to make up your own zany prompts if you like. If you're stumped on the answers and want to know, check below. But more importantly, that mysterious prize the council teased.....?

The Great Havenwell Scavenger Hunt Answers

Go to the slightly off-colored section of the city wall toward the south where the breach from the October event happened.

In the conservatory's botanical garden are hidden plastic trees with gold-foiled covered chocolate coins hanging from them like fruit. Take one and turn it in to the temple priests.

Pose in front of the the main town square's statue fountain that depicts the four gods of Havenwell.

Go to any of the city's the VR cafes in the Entertainment Districts and play a game with a friend. They'll send an electronic receipt to your communicator to prove you participated. Find more information about the VR offerings here.

The city's multiple science towers will have a small gift store on the bottom floors selling many different kinds of nerdy goods from metal pens to pocket protectors to rulers and magnifying glasses and more. Buy something small and show it to the priests.

Go to Rawna's temple and take a picture with a dragonling.

Go to Ainea's temple and take a picture with five or more mice.

Go to Diacht's temple and take a picture with a white and red crow.

Go to Ohma's temple and take a picture with two or more of the cats. It cannot be the cats from Affurgato!

❥ PROMPT III: Gentle Trembling of the Toes

The daily soft earthquakes in effect since last month are still ongoing. As a reminder- a very gentle rumble has been occasionally reverberating throughout the city, an earthquake small enough to not cause any damage, but large enough to be felt. The timing of it is sporadic, but it happens once a day. The sensation will typically last for anywhere between 10-30 seconds before dissipating as if it never occurred at all.

Each time one of those tremors occur, many of the robotic residents in town will immediately stop, find a partner, and link arms while standing back to back with one another, clinking their heads together. They stand that way for a while, even after the tremors subside, until at last they say their farewells and move on. If asked, rather than alarmed, the town natives are tentatively optimistic, even excited in some cases: the quakes are a message, a gentle warning, but of what they don't yet know. It's been so long since a public declaration from their deities was made, due to their diminished presence in the world and the decline of the planet. The priests are especially eager, bustling about in their temples trying to prepare for whatever might happen, but no one seems to know exactly what, or when, the next step will occur. The doors exiting out of town are being reinforced, and the guards have doubled up their patrols and will be especially vigilant about explorers going too close to the walls around the city. Most people at least know this much: do as they do, when the tremors hit, and you'll understand a little better.

There are new messages that characters can receive:
1) "Change is coming." this message is passive, almost like a greeting.
2) "We thank you for all you have done." this message is softer, almost apologetic.
3) "We shall do all we can to keep you safe." this message is gentle, almost parental in its affection.
4) "Share your bounty and your joy." this message is kind and encouraging, tugging you toward people you may not have met yet.
5) "Remember to keep the balance." this message is plaintive, but without urgency.
6) "Do not approach the walls." this message is LOUD, insistent, and the most frequently transmitted.
7) "Soon, change." this message is a gentle reminder.
8) "We welcome you to our home." This message is sent most frequently to newcomers.
9) "Be not afraid. You are safe." this message is polite and reassuring.
10) "Keep your footing and watch your step." this message is cautious, a firm warning.

The voice that conveys these messages is a collective of multiple, speaking in synchronization but at inconsistent volumes. Multiple links (eg. different threads) can receive multiple messages, and characters do not have to hear the same message as their partner.

This occurrence is also ONGOING. The quakes will continue until it is announced in the near future when they end. Stay tuned!

Ardbert | Final Fantasy XIV | Shadowbringers/5.0 Spoilers

I: Awakening - Closed; for reference (March 3rd-4th, 10th)
Ardbert had a very interesting first day in which he found himself with a proper body again and reconnected with Era in a very unexpected way. Then met her immortal boyfriend that is basically their mortal enemy (but not somehow??) in person properly for the first time, and then he, Emet-Selch, made Ardbert a sandwich and alcohol. Which got him drunk and had him snoring. It was a bit of a day.

The second day was much calmer; clothing shopping for him because Warrior Relic Armor isn't appropriate clothing apparently and he had no underwear. His clothing is, for now, usually a pair of blue jeans, a comfortable hoodie, and a pair of brown leather sneakers. It makes him feel so squishy. But on the third day and beyond, he takes some time to explore on his own.

On the 10th, which is Era's birthday, he's otherwise occupied.


II. Scavenger Hunt - Tech Support, OTA (March 5th beyond, 10th excluded)

"Er..." Ardbert had been looking at the scavenger hunt page when he fat-fingered his communication device after almost dropping it and made the page seemingly vanish somehow.

He fiddles with the communication device and just can't figure out how to get it back. Not knowing what else to do and not being one to leave a quest unfinished, Ardbert looks up and around for someone that looks friendly enough to approach. This is a good way to meet people, anyway, right?

"Excuse me—could I ask your help with this thing for a second?" Ardbert asks, mildly embarrassed, when he catches someone's eye for more than a moment or three.


III: Gentle Trembling of the Toes - OTA (March 5th beyond, 10th excluded)

Ardbert's balance isn't bad enough for a little bit of trembling to knock him off his feet. Trying to mirror the movements with the closest person to him in a hurry, however, is enough to send him off-balance in a physical form he barely remembers how to use. Whether that ends up with Ardbert's partner bracing him or his partner being pitched backward as Ardbert graciously take the falling damage for them both truly depends on the person he's linked up with.


IV: Botanical Garden or Wildcard - OTA (March 5th beyond, 10th excluded)

He eventually finds a bench in the botanical gardens underneath a tree. It's a good place to think while watching people (and forgetting people can watch him watch them, now). Or an ideal place to look a bit lost as he tries to drink in the senses lost to him for so long. The feeling of the bench underneath him, the smell of the plants around him, and even, sometimes, almost a taste of something in the air.

"Guess it's real, isn't it?" He chuckles to himself.

Ardyn might not have quite been an Ascian, but he sure as hell seemed to have the same ability to come out of absolutely nowhere.

Ardbert is a fool if he thinks Emet-Selch is up for hearing the voices of gods not his own, but the Ascian does catch Ardbert's arm as he inevitably stumbles, almost reflexively. For once, the expression on his face is unsettled, though it passes as soon as the shaking of the earth does.

In spite of how spindly his form appears, there is definitely strength in the grip that could easily support all of Ardbert's weight, if he needed it.

An annoyed sigh. "Have these gods not given enough messages already?"

he gardens are expansive, yet meticulously organized, cultivated by scientists for the efforts of preservation of species of all sorts. The rigid groups of flora do not make the gardens any less magnificent to behold, if not in specie number, then in the sheer conservation effort of it all.

"It's... a facility dedicated to hope," he will hear her say before coming into view. Having heard him speak aloud from a few meters on the path, she hopes he doesn't mind the interjection. She's here on business, but she doesn't mind stopping to chat, especially with someone she's never met before. It must be another cycle where new arrivals awaken. "To repopulate their world with all of their flowers, once it is restored."

Then, she glances at the space beside him. "Would you mind some company?"

Once his father is awake and he himself has had a chance to get a decent night's rest, Noctis is restless and generally poor company, but at least he's outside, which is a marked improvement. He almost misses the request for help, still a little bleary-eyed, so thankfully Umbra is at his feet to whuff quietly, snapping him out of whatever thoughts he'd been lost in.

"Huh?" He glances over, eyes first drawn to Ardbert, then the communicator in his hand, and- ah. It clicks. "Uh, sure, what's up?"

[ The gardens are a quiet place often worth the contemplation time, even if for the change of scenery than one finds in the rest of the walled-in city.

However, it's a feline that's wandered his way over to Ardbert, not one that has been penned up in a zoo like the rest. He sits, licks his paw, gives a little flick of his tail, as though either he's sitting and waiting for someone to show up or if he's trying to get attention or some curiosity from the man on the bench.

Of course, the cat is not on the clock at his place of work, but some habits are just a little hard to break. ]

Although by now, he's getting to learn much of the city like the back of his hand, Lance still goes on walks to explore every day. It's a good way to keep in shape that isn't training, at least. Not that he doesn't work out otherwise, still--can't let himself get rusty. Even if there is no proper shooting range...

It's on one of these walks that he meets eyes with a rather baffled looking man. A new arrival, probably? When asked for help, Lance shoots him a smile and makes his way over.

"Yeah, what's up?" he asks. He glances between the man and the communicator. "Tech troubles?"

Twice a month, Magolor visits the gardens to check on his tree: once to harvest the apples, and once to make sure the newest batch is growing without issue. This time is one of the latter weeks, so he unfortunately doesn't have an impressive gem apple basket along with him for the ride today. But he is enjoying his own outing; he doesn't consider himself someone especially shackled to the comfort of being surrounded by nature, but the truth is it affects him more than he thinks. The same seems to be true of most people here, natives and offworlders alike. There's just something about the greenery.

The man on the bench—surely feeling about the same way right now, by the looks of it—isn't addressing him and he knows it, but neither is Magolor the sort not to just jump right into a conversation anyway. He drifts immediately in that direction, as easily as if he were being flagged down.

"It sure is! I can pinch you if you insist, or you can just trust your senses. It feels a little realer in here than anywhere else, right?"

It's Era's voice, heard through the crack of her open door, but the intonation and accent are not quite right — it's more brusque, lacking in her customary soft, lilting tone.

There is an intake of breath, clearly Era readying a retort, however the unfamiliar-familiar voice strikes again before she has the chance to speak. If Ardbert were to look through the gap of her door he'd see an Era wearing a dress like the sunless sea, her back facing him... And an 'Era' wearing layers of dark clothes, with a sword larger than 'she' is tall laid across 'her' lap, and facing the doorway. The other 'Era' will give him a cursory look ('Yes, I know you're there', it says) before returning 'her' full attention back to Era herself.

«Listen to my voice. Listen to our heartbeat. Listen... Because it seems that you've forgotten how.»

They pause just long enough to allow that barb to sink in before continuing: «Just as balance must be maintained twixt Light and Dark, so too must it be maintained within oneself. Just as you can be both the Warrior of Light and Darkness, you can be both weapon and woman.»

Esteem's voice softens somewhat. «You and you alone know who you are. In the end, it is your choice to accept or reject whoever that may be.»

And then they glance to Ardbert one last time before dissolving into a cloud of wispy darkness and motes of aether a particular shade of vibrant blue, leaving Era sitting alone upon her bed. Her tail has gone still behind her, and she stares down at her hands pensively.

"...My choice?"

"Are you having trouble with the communicator?" Tanjiro's smile is nothing but understanding, he's been there. Even now he still fumbles with the device every now and then beyond simple things like texting and phone calls. At least, that's what he assumes since he's never seen Ardbert's face before around the city.

"It's a little bit overwhelming at first, but once you get around it, it's very convenient."

[It has taken Mitsuri the better part of an hour to first, be placated enough to put her sword away (since she woke up somewhere that she didn't know where she was) and second, to figure out enough of the workings of the technology that she wouldn't get completely lost the moment she stepped away from the robots.

Which has... kind of happened anyway? But mostly because she's been distracted by all the strange things!!]

Ah! Excuse me! I'm trying to find... um, the housing dormitories? Could you help??

two. Scavenger Hunt

[This sounds like so much fun! She used to play little games like this with her siblings when she was younger! So Mitsuri is SUPER down for a scavenger hunt.

Except... she's having a very hard time parsing some of these riddles. For a long while, she has sat staring at the words, a deep frown creasing her forehead. If you approach her, she'll give you a pleading look, a desperate cry for help.

But if you watch long enough, you will see a sudden light dawning on her face.]

Oh! Oh! I think...! Number 9 is a cat!! ...right?

three. Tremors

[The first time she had felt the tremor - much earlier today - Mitsuri had been concerned and maybe a little scared. But it didn't take much observing at all to realize what everyone around her was doing. And heck if it didn't look like a really sweet and nice thing to do, so!!

When another tremor starts in the afternoon, Mitsuri whirls on the person nearest to her and holds out her hand, a fierce excitement in her eyes.]

Come on! Stand back to back with me!

[...and she's quite strong, so it ... might be a little difficult to say "no"...]

[So. More newcomers, huh? More newcomers squinting very hard at their tablets? That's a little different, outside of general confusion for those brought in who may not be familiar with similar technology, but this seems to be a different kind of confusion than that.

Tamaki watches Mitsuri puzzle over the communicator for a moment or two before approaching, curious to see what's got her so deep in concentration.]

Well, I like wandering around in the shopping district! I also spend time in the entertainment district too! They got this super high-tech thing called Vee-Arr that shows different places you want to go! Where would you like to go, Kanroji-san?

[ Wow, some people really do get bold here in Havenwell, with the breakdown of social restraint as far as touching goes, huh? That's the reasoning that immediately comes to Kyoko's mind, anyway--she's never seen this woman before, but she must be really into the spirit of things.

Kyoko leans back, hands going up. ]

[He comes upon her as she figures out the riddle, and when he catches her answer, he stops to applaud her, ears twitching in a catlike way themselves:]

I: Awakening

She finds her books, and herself in a bare room. Having been on an alternate world adventure before, she shivers for a moment as the new smells overwhelm her senses. She can feel something deep in the earth and doesn't like it at all. She buries her nose in her knees calming herself, and jerks aware when the robot comes in to tell her just what is going on.

She's been assigned a god - Ohma - and should start hugging people to save the world. Right. Strange and unusual circumstances, for sure, but... Why not? Just Why the heck not?!

Carrying her books, she steps out of the room and into the temple, looking around. Oh, this is not going to go well. She dislikes it immediately and will keep her God, thank you. But, she's a confused redhead holding heavy books in the temple. Obviously, this is going to be interesting.

III: Trembling of the toes

Brigid constantly feels as if she's off-balance. Constantly. She feels dizzy and unable to stand upright. Oh, the earthquakes aren't bad, but she's a bit more sensitive to them. And it sucks. She's taken to drinking a lot of tea, to try to keep her head on straight.

It's only mildly successful.

Since arriving in this foreign world, Touma made it a priority to learn what he could about his new surroundings. Today he was visiting the four temples that served as holy ground for the Gods of this world. He planned on starting with the temple he originally woke up inside, the one dedicated to Rawna, and work his way clockwise to the other three.

Several hours into his pilgrimage, he finally found himself standing before the temple of Ohma. As he looked over the numerous bizarre statues of felines that adorned the outside of the temple, his eyes caught movement by the entrance. Exiting the temple was a redheaded woman carrying a set of heavy books. The confusion on her face made it obvious that she was a new arrival.

Touma gave her a causal wave and smile. "Did you just get summoned here? You look pretty lost."

Awakening

[A stone slab wasn't the worst place Libra had slept before, but it also wasn't the best. Waking up, he gathered his belongings, choosing to strap his axe to his back and hold the staff (better a healer than fighter upon first meeting) while listening to the robots (an interesting thing) explain what was going on.

A new home, a new god?, and a place that seems to use touch to earn currency? Something he was going to have to get used to.

For now, he was going to get used to the city, heading to find his housing before wandering to get used to the layout while looking at the tablet. Say Hello?]

Havenwell Hunt

[A scavenger hunt? Libra hadn't done something like this since he was a child, before going to live with the Monks and Clerics. Some of them he had little ideas where to find, but he did at least know of the last one. The temple of the god he was under while here had cats that seemed to fit that description. So, he at least had that one.

But, he was stumped on the first. Finding someone who looks like they may know a bit more information, he walks over to them.]

Pardon me, but do you know where this place may be?

So two people on a hunt while not knowing what a photo is...

[Does Libra really want to bump into this particular person? He's not going to be as much help as he thinks. ]

[Sasuke remembers his temple well because the creatures there are nearly the inverse of his own crow familiar, who is sitting on his head by the way. Mr. Tori is black with red eyes instead of white with blue eyes. ]

Prompt I: Awakening

[ Sasuke may appear at ease, or maybe even a little annoyed, upon waking up at Diacht's temple. Don't be fooled. His mind's spinning with all this new information so unlike anything he's known before, and he doesn't fully believe the locals. Save the world through touch? Who are they? Ieyasu and his bonds? He's lived a life of war. That just doesn't make any sense. Sasuke has an important job back home. He can't be off hugging people!

He may be observing people from a small distance away, or he may be coming to people asking, ]

Who here knows the most about this place?

Prompt II: The Great Havenwell Hunt

[ A scavenger hunt would normally be something Sasuke could easily finish, and he doesn't really have anything better to do at this point. He's good at piecing things together and spotting things others might miss. In this, the locals are right. It would be a good starting point to learn his new surroundings... However, right now, he's standing off to the side and staring at the strange device the priest gave him. His large crow familiar sits upon his head like a black, feathery cloud hat, peering down at the device as well. Take a picture? Are they really suggesting he steal? What do they mean?

Also, a ninja wearing forest camouflage with a large black bird on his head really stands out in the white stone city of Havenwell. ]

[ Tennouji Matsuemon flies nearby and perch in a near higher surface, watching these newcomers. Especially the big crow.

They really do stand out in a city like Havenwell, and this marks the first time Tennouji Matsuemon sees someone of his species since he and his charge had arrived in this strange land. While they do stand out, they're not necessarily strange per-say, the camo clothing seemed to look about as strange as the clothes the other humans wear in the Demon Slayer Corps. ]

II: The Great Havenwell Hunt

Having been here for a few months and then some, Undertaker is quite familiar with this world and all in it. It isn't necessary that he find these items and take photos of them with this little phone device that he has with him, but it's something new to do, something else to engage in to help this world out. For the sake of doing so, and because a scavenger hunt can be fun.

Anyone wandering by any of these findings might find him here, admiring or otherwise just staring at them, and he'll be more than happy to take a quick shot with you.


III: Gentle Trembling of the Toes

These aren't the first earthquakes he has ever felt in his long, long life and he has all confidence that they won't be his last, not if things continue as they have. But they are the first to ever have come and gone nearly on a schedule. The shifting of his home planet and that of this one have very different thoughts on how they like to do so. Still, it isn't the roaring devastation that he had read about in the papers now and then.

By now, the tremors have become so commonplace, he hardly concerns himself with them. This day, he happens to be trailing along a walkway, fascinating himself with a text on his communicator when the trembling begins. His gaze lifts as his feet slow to a stop. After a moment, when it seems everything is as it has been with these quakes and nothing is in real danger - yet - he returns to his text. If there happens to be anyone near him at the time who wants to engage in the strange embrace he has seen the natives do when this happens, he's all for it.

Frequent as the tremors had been, once in awhile they did catch the teen by surprise. This was one of those days. He'd found himself distracted by some generic mystery novel when it started. And he had lost himself in it enough that he'd forgotten it was a daily occurrence by then.

He couldn't remember a single time he'd felt an earthquake, minor or otherwise. The first few times it had happened here, he'd been an absolute wreck with panic. Now, having forgotten for the moment, there's a stifled cry as he drops his device and reaches out to grab someone or something stable.

Awakening

Touma silently listened to the soft mummer of the fountain behind him as his mind reluctantly processed all the information that had been dumped on him since he found himself here. He didn't want to believe what those strange robots said were true. The idea that he was no longer back home in Academy City and had been brought to this world by a 'God' filled him with an indescribable feeling of dread. Although the situation differed from his last experience dealing with a full fledged 'God', the end result was the same; he found himself once again separated from his home and those important to him.

The teenager slumped forward with a dejected sigh. He felt an invisible pressure slowly crushing his heart as his mind pulled fragmented memories of the hellish trials he had previously gone through before shoving them back into the forgotten depths of his mind. This was different. His world wasn't gone and his purpose for being here wasn't to be tortured endlessly. Those robots made it clear he was brought here to save this world. A task he felt was way beyond something a normal high school student could accomplish, but that was beside the point. What mattered was the fact he didn't need to worry about suffering through another endless loop.

Feeling more at ease, Touma finally felt like he could focus on more important matters. Namely, he needed to learn more about this world and its current situation. Unlike last time, this world wasn't an twisted reflection created with the sole purpose to make him suffer, but a completely separate one from his own occupied with others who were forced to come to this world as well. He wanted to met them and hear what they have to say in person.

It was no coincidence that he was currently seated right next to the grand fountain. He chose this landmark due to the fact it was located right in the very center of town. This made it the perfect place to cross paths with other unwilling travelers without having to waste time running around looking for people like an idiot.

Once he spotted another living being, he waved at them to get their attention and shouted. “Hey, would you mind helping me out? I just got here a few hours ago and I'm not sure what's going on.”

Gentle Trembling of the Toes

As the sky begin to darken, Touma decided it was best to find somewhere to crash for the night. He had gathered as much information he could hope for by hanging out near the fountain and talking to everybody that passed by. Standing up from his uncomfortable stone seat on the fountain's edge, he instinctively pulled out his cellphone to check the time. It took him a couple seconds to realize why the time on his phone seemed completely off, but once he did he couldn't help feeling incredibly stupid.

“It's morning right now in my world,” Touma softly mumbled to himself as he started at his phone. “I wonder what Index and Othinus are doing? They probably already realized my mysterious disappearance from the bathroom.”

Deep in his thoughts, he suddenly found himself thrust back into reality when the ground beneath him started to shake. Startled, he ended up panicking and dropped his phone. By sheer bad luck, his phone smacked against the stone edge of the fountain and bounced right into the water.

“Shit! You got to be kidding me!” Touma loudly cursed. Without any hesitation, the spiky-haired teen jumped right into fountain to retrieve his phone. There was no way in Hell he was going to lose one of the very few things he had connecting him to his world at the bottom of a random fountain.

Awakening

[ It's weird for Oboro, waking up he's sure that he died. So he's in heaven then right? That has to be what it is. He surprised however when he finds out that...he isn't dead. He's somewhere new. It's with this shock that he is directed out into Havenwell proper and the young hero-in-training has to take a few minutes.

His hands are shaking even while grasping his staff in one hand and his new 'phone' in the other.

Right, he had to figure out more about the place. Find out what he had been dragged into and of course find a place to live for now. When he can he'll put on his usual bright smile before hopping on a cloud he conjures and 'fly' right up to the first non-robot looking person he can and reach out to tap them on the shoulder. ]

Uh, hi! Could you...show me where the housing is? I was told I can get a place to stay?
