As time stretches on, he can't avoid the irrational thought that Teo might not come back at all. It's not like he's about to go running off outside the barrier again, nor would he wander off anywhere else after how clear he's made it that he's worried he's going to die... but what would he even do, if that did somehow happen...

He decides not to think about that, focusing on his wine instead. By the time Teo returns he'd started on his second glass. He looks up from where he's sitting on the couch, more or less where Teo left him, still just as alive.

"...Welcome back. I hope they didn't give you too much trouble over it." He'd have gone with him, or instead of him, if not for his current uncertain state... "Sorry for making you go alone."
