Gladio's Birthday Weekend [Open to Invited and Uninvited Guests]

The intention had been to keep this party small and limited to Eos' favorite boy band and their groupies but with everyone helping out with the bar and the good mood he'd been in... Tony might have accidentally invited more people. Like.. a lot more people. Okay, so he invited everyone. In his defense, who would want to miss out on an official Tony Stark Bash™?

Starting the middle of the afternoon on Friday, the neighborhood surrounding Regis' house would notice an increase in activity as people arrived. By that evening, the windows were open, the music was blaring, and booze was flowing. Someone might have used just about all their extra they'd earned on making tonight special for someone.

So come one and all over to the King's house and let the King of the party pour you a fresh homebrewed beer from his keg, grab some Ignis and Pyra treats, enjoy a slice of delicious red velvet cake with strawberries made by Tony, and drop off a token of appreciation for the birthday boy and keep our fingers crossed he'll show up!

[ She peers at him, as if the blush itself is something to scrutinize for-- it isn't, but she's intending to emphasize that he can't hide from her through a deliberate and pointed stare.

Even her smile seems a touch satisfied, and she responds in kind, leaning in: ] Was too.

[Stop looking at him so carefully! She was seeing everything!

He sighed, defeatedly- but with a smile there too.]

Alright, fine, maybe you did.... damn, can't believe I'm talking about this with you- not that there's anything wrong with you, just.. like the daughter thing.

Anyway, it doesn't matter. I'm pretty sure he doesn't think of me like that.

[ She cannot speak for Gladio, of what he thinks and of how he feels about Tony. But she has seen the two of them interact, and how they interact is... comfortable, warm, and friendly with each other, easily close physically, and easily able to bring a smile to each other's faces. She would have only assumed they were very close friends if not for Tone and her previous conversation, as well as the affectionate look Tony had worn just moments ago. This, of course, all but confirms it.

Just as he brushes aside the daughter comment, she appears to ignore it as well. ]

He-... He doesn't know, does he?

[Tony shook his head.]

I haven't told him, no. I've been trying to show him in every way I can though.

[He looks back toward the door, almost hoping the man he was talking about would be standing there hearing this. Still, he returns his gaze to Pyra and smiles at her.]

Maybe some day he'll figure it out or I just get to have a really great best friend for as long as the gods keep me here. As long as you're here too, I can't complain.

[ She smiles quietly at that, nodding. It's a good outlook Tony has-- rather than being jaded or sorrowful if his affection is not returned, he'll appreciate the friendship for what it is. Who could ever ask for someone more wonderful and understanding than that?

Of course, that being thought... She wants to encourage him, and to let him know that she's there for him, too. ]

He seems very comfortable around you... [ Tony even got him to come back into the party, when he had been close to stepping away! ] I think that--

Just maybe, you're underestimating how much he might care for you in return. [ This, of course, she doesn't know for certain; but she has seen how Gladio seems to laugh and smile and his presence, too. It's much more warm than when he's alone with her. ] I'm saying that you just might have a chance and... I'm rooting for you.
