♥ Note: While I'm typing the post in prose form, I welcome both styles!

Willpower Estate
(CLOSED to housemates - Akira, Will, Kei... though, LBR, Ib is welcome, too)

For the most part, Goro Akechi is an easy enough person to get along with, when it comes to him as a housemate. He keeps to himself, cleans up his own messes (and, where applicable, the messes of others), and he's quiet. Sometimes, it might even be possible to forget he's even here; living in a microapartment within a big city has taught him how to seem invisible to his neighbors. Japan is all about keeping to oneself.

Usually.

It's been a very long time since he's woken up with a shout, but... that's what's happening early in the month. Maybe the stress of a new world is to blame. Maybe it's just that he's going to bed with too much on his mind. Or, as Akechi would say, maybe he should just stop being so weak. Either way... after waking up in that way, he's going to be spending some time in the living room.

Feel free to find him just sitting on the couch, a cup of hot soda in his hand. Gross.

Throughout the month, Akechi will be doing small things, here and there, to liven the place up. He will do his part in taking care of the Pokémon, the best he knows how (which isn't... saying much, sadly). Housemates will be finding various decorative items (it's mostly junk he's turning into decorations, probably) appearing, at random. Akechi is always discreet in adding them, but people are free to catch him adding stuff to their household.

Or, if they don't like red and/or sparkly, they're free to remove things! It's not like it's anything more than random stuff he's collecting while helping clean up around this place.

Additionally, there's going to be an attempt, by him, at setting up a day and time for house meetings? How's everyone feel about that...

Stupidity

It is time! Time for them to go against everything they've been told, and try to see just what's outside these fucking walls. Because fuck the ~~police~~ rules? Fuck the ~~police~~ rules. And, once they're at the wall, Akechi is releasing a long sigh, looking over to his housemate. He doesn't want to make the younger teen uncomfortable, but he doesn't want to risk him getting hurt over something so stupid as this. So, he's hesitating, his voice coming out quiet once he does speak.

"... Are you... comfortable with me casting a protective spell over you, just in case?"

Well... we have time.

[He uses the arm that's around Akechi's shoulders to gently squeeze a bit.]

[ He very subtly leans into that arm. ]

I suppose that's true. [ ... ] What do you... think will happen, if this world is saved? Do you think we'll simply...

[ ... ]

N-nevermind...

[He frowns a bit.]

... I don't know. I haven't thought about it, to tell you the truth.

[ That's fair... ]

... We can't avoid thinking about it forever, obviously.

[ He swallows thickly. ]

But... I'm okay putting it off for now, if you are.

I know.

[He looks away, something akin to shame creeping into his expression. But he nods at the second part.]

I'd... prefer that for now, I think.

[... He's so damn selfish.]

[ There's a wry smile on his lips for a moment. He watches how Akira can't even look at him when he answers, and he can tell there's... a lot there.

So many things are left waiting under the rug. So many things left for them to sort out, and yet...

... Well, he's just going quiet for now, a faintly lost look in his eyes. ]

[The quiet... doesn't sit well with Akira right now, unfortunately, so he's going to speak up again pretty quickly.]

... So, uh, I've noticed you're only ever pulling out the Black Mask outfit when you have to do laundry...

[There's an unspoken question there--he's wondering if Robin Hood went the way of Akira's Personas that weren't Metatron.]

[ He tenses a bit... It's discreetly so, and there's something frustrated leaking onto his expression. ]

... Yeah. It's the only option I have, right now. [ gritting his teeth a bit, just for a short moment ] I suppose there's some bitter irony here.

[... Almost discreetly, Akira's grip tightens just that much more.]

So you're stuck with just one, as well... Ironic how?

[ He can't help leaning into Akira a little. ]

For... the longest time, I considered Robin Hood the least useful. There's a reason he was around the same level as yours, when I'd had him the longest. Loki, on the other hand... Going against me while I had him equipped took the entire team.

[ There's a bit of a pause... ]

... But, by the end, Robin Hood had gained healing. I had begun to see him has more useful, and I had wished that... I'd used him more.

[ Now he's resting his forehead on Akira's shoulder now, eyes closing. The next words are whispered: ]

It's only after I realize how much I like having him... I no longer do. It feels like there's an emptiness in my chest whenever I think about him. But, all I can think is how this is what I deserve.

[Akira listens quietly as Akechi speaks, then closes his eyes before pulling the older teen into a hug.]

I'm sorry. This must be... really difficult on you.

[Plus, given everything Loki must represent...]

[ He leans into the hug, a soft, humorless chuckle slipping out... ]

It... could be worse, I think.

Yeah, I guess so... but it still sucks.

[Akira's just... content to hold Akechi for now.]

[ He's... actually content to lean into this, letting himself be held onto. Just... for now is okay, right? Just letting himself relax into something nice, for once... doesn't make him weak, right?

Nevermind that it's taking everything in him to shove the usual thoughts back. ]

It's the least I deserve for everything I've put people through, Akira--

[ There's a discreet tensing as he realizes the slip-up. Even now, however, he does realize that... given everything that's currently happened... technically, they should be on a first-name basis. Technically.

Really, it's just... that fear of rejection that lingers. Heh.

Feelings are fucking stupid, sometimes. ]

[Feelings are the stupidest fucking things, dude, you're valid.

Akira blinks at the use of his given name, but his surprised expression softens into a smile. It's a little surprising, but after everything... after everything, it does feel right.

He'll just pull the older teen that much closer.]

Goro...

[ His breath catches the tiniest bit, but... he relaxes.

... Up until he hears his given name. For some reason, that has his cheeks darkening. He hasn't-... heard anyone from their world calling him that since his mother died. That thought has his expression dimming just for a split second, even if there's a tiny, sad smile surfacing. ]

Besides...

[ Yep, he's shifting back the talk they were having. ]

I have... [ cheeks darkening ] a friend supporting me through this.

[ Something awkward in his expression, something tense in his form, but it's clear he's trying, maybe. ]

Thank you...

[It actually makes Akira smile a bit as he makes a sound of acknowledgement.]

Yeah, you do. [No hesitation whatsoever.]

You're welcome, Goro. I'm right here if you need it, okay?

[ He very slowly moves to rest his head on Akira's shoulder. ]

... The same goes to you.

[ Quietly, he adds: ]

I don't have much experience with true friendship, but I'll... always do my best to help, whenever you need me to.

Ah... thank you. I appreciate it.

[After a moment or two of consideration, his hand comes up to just... smooth Goro's hair a little. It's a tentative motion, and he's ready to pull his hand away at any moment...]

[ Oh...

His expression softens completely, and there's a hint of relaxing. He seems tentative, but he definitely isn't uncomfortable. ]

[... Ah... Akira's expression softens a bit and he continues, his motions becoming a bit more confident. If this helps Goro relax, then...]

[ It definitely does help him relax, but it'll probably be clear that he's very new to this kind of thing.

So, while he's relaxing, there's a hint of jerkiness to that. A genuine uncertainty. Possibly a hint of confusion.

But, the longer Akira does this, the more he will relax... ]

Does this... help?

[Might as well ask for outright confirmation--he's not going to let up, of course, but... he is a little worried.]

[ That question has his cheeks darkening considerably.

Something awkward and shy appears on his face as he opens his eyes, only to look away. ]

I-... It's new, but...

[ Very quietly: ]

It's nice...

[Oh, that's... actually really cute. What the hell.]
