Lady's Night Out! Or in, technically.
♥ Who: Lup, Honerva, Pyra, and Era
♥ Where: A... new business!?
♥ When: Tail end of the winter holidays
♥ What: Lady sleepover party, time for drink and gossip
♥ Rating: probably at least PG
In the heart of the entertainment district, closest to where the majority of residents live, a new building has opened up- in theory, that is. There is a sign across that door that reads "opening soon", and the curtains are drawn across the window to hide its contents, but those passing by might catch a glimpse of things here and there. A stack of cups on a table, a spread of colourful fabric, a cat perched in the window, staring back. Hints of what's to come. Today, beneath the existing sign, hangs an extra: "closed for private party".
Attendees of said party will find the interior still very much a work-in-progress, but it has the signs of obvious progress. The business is set up as a cafe, the walls painted warm shades of browns and pinks, cat toys piled in the corner, synthetic trees and shelving along the walls for climbing and exploring. The central area is peppered with blankets and pillows all gathered in a pile, and beneath them a series of connected sofa cushions forming the "mattress". One table is set up as a work station of sorts, with paints and various construction supplies laid out, though for tonight it's mostly abandoned.
Another table is decorated with snacks and dishes, mostly finger food and sweets for easy eating; it all smells delightful, with varying recipes to indicate that the chef has been experimenting on which to choose. Many of them are decorated with animal motifs: cut-out cookies in mammal shapes, tarts with icing whiskers, cat-eared quiche. The coffee drinks too will have simple shapes drawn into the foam when ordered. The alcoholic drinks will probably not, but they're smooth and cold and are made for fun more than aesthetic, anyway. A variation of old-school or modern pop style music plays quietly from wall-mounted speakers, loud enough to be heard but not overwhelm. Two cats wander about the premises, introduced to the party-goers for those not in the know as Ditto and Kova. They're friendly, but be gentle!
Before things get going, Lup lays down a few ground rules:
1) respect the animals, and do not feed them!
2) respect the other people here and definitely feed them
3) if you make a mess tell her, that's what magic is for
4) have a good time, yes this is a rule
5) profit? maybe? you get paid for cuddles here, get drunk and go nuts
Let's go, girls! Time for some R&R fun.

There's a pause, as she weighs the question; light, harmless, of course. ]
In the wider universe, many concepts can be encountered. Since we are brought now to a world where there is power to draw those from varying realities, it is not surprising to encounter the familiar aspects here.
[ Particles may be particles with different names, perhaps not all concepts were yet given name. ]

[ They descend, returning to the main floor of the building. ]
It's a wonderful nexus.
no subject
[ There was yet so much they did not know, and still only more theories to be had. ]

[ Since they're in contact, she'll find them a spot to at least sit back down in, though at least at first glancing to make eye-contact with Lup before they settle. See, they're back. ]
Something that exposes the existence of other realities. Or some other source that may be generated by the planet; who knows, with these possibilities. All we know is that we arrive here, though even that aspect has been effectively streamlined to prevent us from questioning it.
no subject
I'm, ah, of the belief that once we fulfill enough our purposes in this world [ Whatever it is, however much it is, and to what extent. ], we may be allowed to return home by the gods. [ Or powers-that-be. Whatever. ]
For those that wish to return sooner, they will need to focus upon creating something that will allow them to return on their own.
no subject
[ She wasn't purely speaking from theory, after all. ]
There have always been the existence of multiple universes, but there are less recorded incidents of having the power to cross between them, let alone to have a singular world be able to achieve that on it's own.
[ She will not acknowledge the "they will just let us go home" that is in there, because Pyra may recall how she responded to that before. ]
no subject
[ Meaning not just Honerva?
Guzma, maybe? He came from a world where the sun was a literal phoenix of some sort, and there was little technology or food available. ]
no subject
There are a few of us that had been drawn here from that situation. Lup, Taako... a few others.
no subject
You aren't the only ones pulled from a different world before this one. [ Still, it's a surprising coincidence that Honerva, Lup, Taako were the in the same one before Aellyn. ] If the world you had been upon had a planet's core that attracted otherworlders to it, then the pull of this one is stronger.
[ Is there a hierarchy. ] It only gives us more questions.
no subject
We were not upon a singular world. We were upon a series of ships that traveled upon a set path among the systems there. There were evidence of other worlds which had held such a power in their pasts.
[ So strange to describe, in hindsight. But that is what it was. ]
We had achieved a way to leave that universe together, though we were brought here instead. The power here, weakened as it may be, may have seized an opportunity to interfere. Though it does not explain everyone else, of course.
no subject
That seems important. ] How?
Ah, I mean, how did you achieve a way to leave that universe?
no subject
There had been a faction who had escaped the thrall of the ships. Most of the work was in their hands.
Once it had been managed, we were able to handle and re-purpose the technology for ourselves. Although even then, there were no guarantees of success.
no subject
That doesn't help the others who do wish to return home, but she thinks back to something Honerva had mentioned earlier:
"There are less recorded incidents of having the power to cross between them." Is that something she had learned in this other world, or-- ] The power to cross between worlds... is there something like that, in your world?
no subject
It is a research that I am familiar with.
no subject
That research, your knowledge.... would be invaluable to those here who wish to return home.
[ Like hell is Pyra going to trigger a space-time dimension hop. No thank u, it's all on you Honerva. ]
no subject
It may or may not. Different realities have different rules. There is much yet to learn about how this one truly manifests those of us within it, and how it keeps us.
no subject
For Pyra, she appears nothing but hopeful as she regards her. Excited, even. Not only has Honerva been to another world and was among those that left that world, but she also seems to have done research into world-hopping in her own! ]
Even just a little bit of information on--- on crossing dimensions would be helpful to this community. Or... at least give them hope.
[ She knows at least... three people who just want to go home really, really badly. ]
no subject
[ Do not put this on her. Her home lies ahead, not back, and so that is not a hope she can spare. ]
no subject
My apologies.
no subject
Everyone was facing their own problems, to want to create new futures from them.
At the apology, she remains quiet for a few moments. She knew Pyra seemed enthusiastic about this, but there was no way she could match that. ]
There is no reason why you could not offer others such hope yourself.
[ Pyra may not have the details, but at least she has heard of possibility, now. ]
no subject
Besides, I’m perfectly happy with believing that restoring this world with this— [ At “this”, she squeeze Honerva’s hand. ] will be enough to one day allow those who wish to return to their worlds... to do so.
no subject
That is not enough for me.
[ Wryly. These beings may have taken her, and Lup, and Taako from that other universe, and their memories were still shared, but there were too many risks involved with just leaving it all up to this unknown entity. They'd all had enough experience with that sort of business. ]
But if it suits you then we need speak of it no further. Lup wanted us to ... relax.
[ And this is not very relaxing. ]
no subject
Her confusion may be read apparent on her face. ] Ah, no, I’m sorry. I... think I’m misunderstanding something...?
no subject
... perhaps you may be, but do not worry. The subject is a complicated one, and we may have lingered on it for too long.
