Lady's Night Out! Or in, technically.
♥ Who: Lup, Honerva, Pyra, and Era
♥ Where: A... new business!?
♥ When: Tail end of the winter holidays
♥ What: Lady sleepover party, time for drink and gossip
♥ Rating: probably at least PG
In the heart of the entertainment district, closest to where the majority of residents live, a new building has opened up- in theory, that is. There is a sign across that door that reads "opening soon", and the curtains are drawn across the window to hide its contents, but those passing by might catch a glimpse of things here and there. A stack of cups on a table, a spread of colourful fabric, a cat perched in the window, staring back. Hints of what's to come. Today, beneath the existing sign, hangs an extra: "closed for private party".
Attendees of said party will find the interior still very much a work-in-progress, but it has the signs of obvious progress. The business is set up as a cafe, the walls painted warm shades of browns and pinks, cat toys piled in the corner, synthetic trees and shelving along the walls for climbing and exploring. The central area is peppered with blankets and pillows all gathered in a pile, and beneath them a series of connected sofa cushions forming the "mattress". One table is set up as a work station of sorts, with paints and various construction supplies laid out, though for tonight it's mostly abandoned.
Another table is decorated with snacks and dishes, mostly finger food and sweets for easy eating; it all smells delightful, with varying recipes to indicate that the chef has been experimenting on which to choose. Many of them are decorated with animal motifs: cut-out cookies in mammal shapes, tarts with icing whiskers, cat-eared quiche. The coffee drinks too will have simple shapes drawn into the foam when ordered. The alcoholic drinks will probably not, but they're smooth and cold and are made for fun more than aesthetic, anyway. A variation of old-school or modern pop style music plays quietly from wall-mounted speakers, loud enough to be heard but not overwhelm. Two cats wander about the premises, introduced to the party-goers for those not in the know as Ditto and Kova. They're friendly, but be gentle!
Before things get going, Lup lays down a few ground rules:
1) respect the animals, and do not feed them!
2) respect the other people here and definitely feed them
3) if you make a mess tell her, that's what magic is for
4) have a good time, yes this is a rule
5) profit? maybe? you get paid for cuddles here, get drunk and go nuts
Let's go, girls! Time for some R&R fun.

Everyone was facing their own problems, to want to create new futures from them.
At the apology, she remains quiet for a few moments. She knew Pyra seemed enthusiastic about this, but there was no way she could match that. ]
There is no reason why you could not offer others such hope yourself.
[ Pyra may not have the details, but at least she has heard of possibility, now. ]

Besides, I’m perfectly happy with believing that restoring this world with this— [ At “this”, she squeeze Honerva’s hand. ] will be enough to one day allow those who wish to return to their worlds... to do so.
no subject
That is not enough for me.
[ Wryly. These beings may have taken her, and Lup, and Taako from that other universe, and their memories were still shared, but there were too many risks involved with just leaving it all up to this unknown entity. They'd all had enough experience with that sort of business. ]
But if it suits you then we need speak of it no further. Lup wanted us to ... relax.
[ And this is not very relaxing. ]
no subject
Her confusion may be read apparent on her face. ] Ah, no, I’m sorry. I... think I’m misunderstanding something...?
no subject
... perhaps you may be, but do not worry. The subject is a complicated one, and we may have lingered on it for too long.
no subject
Mm, alright. [ She nods. Moving on! ]
Any... topic... you would like to discuss? [ Seeing as Pyra had been rolling through the entire conversation, it’s only polite to ask. ]
no subject
When did you and Lup meet? You seem as though you get along well.
[ She'd noticed some of the hair braiding earlier, even if she had been not involved with their talk at the time. ]
no subject
Mm... when I first arrived. [ Freshly new to this world, too. What a time it had been.] I offered my hand, and she took me to a cafe!
[ It was cute. ]
no subject
Was it her favorite one at the time?
no subject

[ There were few places like those around, though she'd only truly seen or experienced them whenever Lup would on purpose take her there, otherwise it was easily a miss for her. ]
Right place this time
Still holding her hand, Pyra adjusts, casually bringing her legs up upon the seat to rest them to the side. ]
Oh, they had that entire banquet seeking critique of food, too! I expected to see published results by now, or changes... But the quality seems the same in the local-run cafes.
no subject
It is likely that they would need time, to implement such changes, with how long it must have been for them to have a reason to change their formula in the first place. It is a wonder that they do not call for others to participate more in their testing, with their lack of ability to taste the results for themselves.
[ Not that she can particularly be of any help with that, but that's her own personal problem. ]
no subject
She laughs. ] I happily volunteer to be another taste-tester again. [ To think that it had only been recently where she gained a sense of taste. Fun. ] If it means helping others have better quality food in this world.
no subject
Although I can think of another who might be glad for such input. [ Hint nudge, it might just be the proprietor of this party. ]
no subject
Oh, you mean Lup? She uses some sort of... magic to augment food, too! I don't... think I could ever possibly complain with whatever she might serve.
no subject
[ Even if it's just to appreciate all the hard work she does. ]
no subject
Favorably... Flavor.... Ah-ha. ]
You could say that I might describe them.. flavorably.
no subject
Even if they had to bear witness to such a pun... but even that is appreciable. It does draw a soft sound of amusement from her. ]
When you do, make certain to inform her of that as well. It would make for an appetizing review.
[ Lup is good at what she does; Honerva wants that to be appreciated by others, even if her intent here is not the clearest. ]
no subject
Ah, since she's your family, will you be helping her at all with whatever she may be serving?
no subject
That question, though... ]
If... there is a way for me to provide her assistance, I would. Although it would not be related to the preparation of any meals served here. My talents do not yet extend to such areas.
no subject
Hm... If you are fond of chemistry, you just might enjoy baking.
[ She can make it science-y! And that is how her talents might extend to assist Lup. ]
no subject
[ For the first time ever actually truly using a kitchen that she can remember. All things go back to Lup with her, so it seems. Even her purpose for the attempt had been entirely related to her. ]
We created a recipe together.
[ Still too new to share with others. But she can be pleased about that all the same. ]
no subject
Ooh...? Is it going to be a surprise-- [ Like a secret menu item. ]
no subject
[ And it would feel strange to have something meant to be personal to be so available, unless it would not be wrong to share it with others. That was an entirely different conversation. It was a lot to consider. ]
