He's not sure why Kai wouldn't have grabbed himself one before laying down, but if that's how it is... one of these blankets has got to go. With this extra room he's managed to make, Shinji peels one of them away with as much care as he can to not jostle the cots too much. It's not really the ideal position for him to help Kai achieve proper blanket burrito status, but he can at least get him mostly covered.
