[ It's not the first time that Affurgato would have up a simple "we're closed" sign and note with apologies for the inconvenience, though it's certainly the first time in a while. Someone might potentially notice Honerva on the few times she might go by to visit the cats, feed and make sure they have some attention, if they haven't been asked to help with that themselves.

Any inquiries sent directly to Lup will notably not be responded to (at least not until she awakens). If any are sent Honerva's way, she'll respond however.

Otherwise anyone looking for her directly isn't too likely to find her in her expected areas, unless they happen to be in the vicinity of Diacht's temple, where she might be found sometimes in the courtyard. Her ears have a noticeable downward tilt to them, while she mostly seeming distracted with either pursuing her tablets and probably working hard on something if only to keep her mind busy, or gazing skyward if it happens to be nightfall. Kova both hangs around with her and sometimes pursues a familiar out of habit.

Other locations are rarer but no less possible. ]

[ The first and second times Kyoko passed Affurgato and saw the closed sigh, she didn't think too much of it. Running a business was hard! Lup and Honerva deserved to take breaks! And honestly, it wasn't like they really needed to be open every day, with how small the population of people who ate was in this town.

But the third time she saw those windows darkened, she couldn't help frowning to herself. The next day, she made a point to pass by, and then pulled out her tablet when she saw the empty store. ]

Good morning, Miss Honerva! This is Kyoko. This is a little sudden, but have you and Miss Lup been well?

greetings Kyoko.

thank you for checking in with us. unfortunately, Lup is... currently indisposed. the hope is that she will awaken as soon as possible.

[ "Awaken"--? ]

Did she get hurt?? Or is it the other thing?

her state is not from any injury, so it is the latter. it is a well known phenomenon, though one we still know too little about why it occurs.

[ Though it has understandably stirred up too many concerns that don't quite translate well to text. ]

I see. That happened to Kaito once, so I kinda get it, I think. Are you staying in the temple with her?

yes, that is correct. it is my intent to be here for when she awakens.

[ She'd rather not leave Lup unaccompanied, bar any other extenuating circumstances, like anyone forcing her to take breaks from her vigil. ]

Of course. If it's not too much of an intrusion, which temple is it?

[ There's a slight pause, mostly because when considering information that concerns others, she doesn't usually like to divulge, but... it isn't as if Kyoko is a stranger. ]

the one to the west. Diacht.

I know where that is. Thank you.

[ And that's it, apparently, unless Honerva feels like volunteering anything else. Kyoko doesn't prod anymore, though.

But about an hour later, one of the priests will approach Honerva and present her with a bento box neatly bundled up in cheery yellow furoshiki, a single fork tucked under the fabric--though nothing in the bento's contents strictly calls for it. The bulk of it is raw food--strawberries, sliced apples and oranges and peaches, broccoli florets and thin carrot slices--with a few pieces of tamagoyaki and two plain onigiri wrapped in nori. The rice is still faintly warm. ]

[ She's honestly not certain what to make of the response--it tugs at some curiosity, but mostly she compartmentalizes it as perhaps she means to visit, at some point. Mostly, her mind is elsewhere to consider it much further, and the time passes.

And then, a mysterious delivery arrives? Usually priestly deliveries are cause for wariness, and seeing the contents themselves have her momentarily perplexed, but it's also a reminder, that she's perhaps not looking to her own needs that well without Lup's steady presence.

It also isn't too much of a leap to determine the mysterious benefactor after all of that, either. And so, not too long after, Kyoko will recieve a message in return: ]

thank you. that was very kind. if you did come all this way... a hello would be just as welcomed.

Oh, I didn't want to intrude. I like Miss Lup, but I don't think we're close enough that I should barge in while she's like that. But I can come back if you'd like to talk. I didn't have much of an appetite, myself, back when I was watching over Kaito, but nourishment is crucial even in hard times. Please take your time and try to eat.

I admit, I have not had much of one, and she'd be the first to scold for neglecting it.

I do prioritize her privacy of course in these times, but I would have stepped outside the chamber if I had known.

[ While it is very easy to get caught up in the discomfort of the situation, there's something about outside conversation that helps distract from that other tendency to conceal and focus inwardly on the negative. ]

Well, if you'd still feel like chatting later, I'll need to come back for the empty box anyway. I asked the priests to hold onto it after you finished, but I'm sure they could adjust to a change in plans.

I don't believe I am familiar with some of these meal items, so it will be a chance to try something new.

If you dislike something, don't feel obliged to finish it! But I hope I provided enough for you to eat well all the same.

I have adapted to much, but I shall keep that in mind as well.
