Maybe Maybe you’ve only just realized that
♥ Who: Tamaki and whoever stumbles on to his big baby tantrum (possibly even You!!)
♥ Where: The green belt around the city
♥ When: Early November
♥ What: Sometimes you get angy and want to cuss out the gods. It's fine, he's fine.
♥ Rating: PG13 for pottymouth
Tamaki had been so sure that he'd seen Sougo in the center of the city when the height of the wormy chaos, but right after that, he was simply... gone.
He'd spent a number of days frantically trying to prove himself wrong. That Sougo hadn't just disappeared, even though it's something he'd been through once before. It's not a matter of familiarity, exactly, but all the signs point to one conclusion, which Tamaki is unwilling to immediately accept. Things were so wild for a bit there! Maybe he'd just gotten caught up in the crowd! Maybe there was something else keeping him from coming home, or getting signal to his communicator!
Of course, there's one easy answer for all of these questions.
When Nagi had disappeared, Tamaki had the very unfortunate advantage of being left alone in his house to let out his anger, but this time he's got someone else to be considerate of, and he's been left feeling even more frustrated and upset than he had before. Somewhere bigger and emptier was in order for this magnitude of grief. So, here comes one boy, walking with purpose out towards the outer ring of the city, past the walls and in to the green belt.
And from there? Well.
"Damn it!" he yells out, as loud as possible, and starts taking a few wild, frustrated swings at the air. "Damn it, damn it, damn it!!"
This yelling and swearing goes on for a few more moments, a few more angry punches at nothing, all topped off with a single shout as long as he can manage. Then, with all of that out of his system, he takes few, deep breaths, and flops back into the grass to recoup some of that lost energy.

Yes, Devon had been there for pretty much all of that, just contently sitting up in a tree. It's an odd spot, to be sure, but he likes to hear the rustling of the leaves. It also means that not many people notice him, which is a good thing.

"You..." Up a tree, is it? He's shocked, for sure, but... that's on him for not making totally sure he was alone in the first place, huh? "How long have you been there?"
no subject
"Probably longer than you would have liked me to be."
Basically meaning he'd heard absolutely everything. He'd also seen the full tantrum. Well, seen in his own way of course, but that's probably just about as embarrassing.

No... he hates this......

Devon drops down from the tree and with a small flick of his fingers uses his magic to send the staff that was resting against the trunk into his hand. He leans casually against it.
"If it's any consolation, I certainly won't tell anyone. I've had my own episodes, though mine do usually involve more destruction."

"I'm not, like, tryin' to make a mess. I'm just mad."

Devon paused to think for a moment.
"Would you like some things to destroy? I can make some ice pieces really easily. After you smash them or throw them or whatever, they'll melt and nobody will know."
no subject
"I don't... wanna get used to the idea of hitting somethin' if I'm mad."
Even if it's hitting something that is allowed to be broken, something about it just feels... really uncomfortable.

He can come up with a solution for all of your problems, man. It easily enough to manipulate his ice into anything you darn well please. That's exactly what he does in that moment and calls up a large ball in his hand.
"You can think of it as target practice or something. They can be rather satisfying when they shatter."
