Kai frowned softly as he looked at her. He remembered. He'd had a secret he thought was ugly too, but she was the one that had said it was nice. So he couldn't wrap his head around what she could possibly want that would warrant all of this when she still hadn't asked for a single thing.

"But it's hurting you. So I don't get it," he admitted after a bit. "I'm doin' my best here but... How is just talking about what you want going to take action?"
