[OPEN] Fuwafuwa! Hummy's Cupcake Delivery Service, nya!

♥ Who: Hummy + potential bonus Kaito + YOU!
♥ Where: All around town and at your houses!
♥ When: This weekend (Dianir 12-13) but if you'd prefer to get some event shenanigans involved, we can say we missed you and schedule your delivery for next week!
♥ What: Hummy and Kaito are delivering cupcakes to all of her friends (Read: everyone she has ever met) but she's got plenty to share with everyone!!
♥ Rating: G-PG, I wager.

♪ 01 - A SPECIAL DELIVERY (for existing CR)
About a week ago now, should Hummy have never visited your residence, you will have received a message over the network from a certain cat asking for your address. If you question why she needs it, she’ll tell you "it's a secret, nya!" If that fails to convince you and you press further, she’ll divulge that she has a gift for you. Hopefully you give in at that point and give it to her, lol.

Anyway, cut to this weekend. Kaito’s side car is loaded up with a cat and whole bunch of cupcakes and the intrepid duo are setting off around town. They drive around from house to house, and eventually...they've reached your name on the list!

Hummy hops out carrying a small box and makes her way to your front door, which she excitedly raps on with her little paw. Knock knock knock!

"Hellooo~ Are you home, nya? It's me, Hummy!"

♪ 02 - AN EXTRA SPECIAL DELIVERY? (closed to Kaito, Shinji, and Kyoko)
Hummy smiles up at Kaito as she hops back up into the side car. "The last delivery was a big success, nya!" She fishes around among the boxes filling the area for a tablet and scrolls through it carefully.

"Our next delivery is for Kyoko, nya! Do you need her address?" Kaito was surprisingly good at knowing his way around town. It was admirable, to be honest. Little did she know he knew this particular address especially well...

♪ 03 - AN UNEXPECTED DELIVERY (for new CR)
You were just going about your business when a bike zoomed by. It smells sort of...sweet? You might be about to write it off when the bike comes to a stop and...a cat pops out of the side car??? That's certainly not something you see every day.

While you're busy staring, duo seems to have noticed you. The cat waves and calls out: "Hellooo~!"

Wait, it "calls out"? Like, it talks??? Seriously, what the heck is going on...

[OOC Note: Prose or brackets both 100% fine - do whatever ya feel like, nya! I've got a comment on the plotting post here if you'd like to hash out a different sort of starter, too! COME AT ME BRO.]

This whole thing had been an extremely wholesome affair. Kaito really wasn't the kind of guy that would actually call anything wholesome, but this? This was it. He grinned a little bit, nodding as Hummy got things ready to go. You were doing a great job, Hummy.

"Hohh, Kyoko's?" That grin of his got a bit brighter. "Nah, I've got hers down. You ready?"

His reaction perks up her ears. "Ohhh, do you know Kyoko, then? She's really nice, isn't she~?" Hummy smiles at the thought of that kind and expressive girl. It would be good to see her again.

When posed a question of her own, she sits the tablet down and nods a couple times, giving a dramatic point into the distance! (Maybe it was the direction of Kyoko's house? Maybe not, though...)

"Ready! Let's go, nya!"

"Super nice," he agreed with a quiet breath of a chuckle. "So I'm real glad she's on your list."

Let's get going then! So this good cat could give the goodest girl a super secret cupcake surprise! Kai revved the motorbike back to life, and off they went!

... In a direction that was about 40 degrees off from where Hummy had been pointing. You were close. But they were headed to the fancy big houses, gosh. Who knew Kyoko would be up there? Kai pulled them up to one that had the promising starts of a garden in the yard, parking right there in the drive like the bike belonged there. Golly.

"Here we are."

Hummy stared with wide eyes as they pulled up to the house. "So pretty, nya!! Look, look, she has a garden!" What a wonderful new thing that you’ve both never seen before!!

After admiring the house for a minute or two, Hummy finally climbs out of the side car, balancing a box of cakes on her head. Is that smart? No. But it’s kind of cute and she seems to do a surprisingly good job of keeping it there until she has the free hands (paws?) to grab it again.

She starts to head to the door but suddenly stops and turns to Kaito.

"Ah! Did you want to come say hello too~?" After all, the only thing better than a surprise visit from one friend is a surprise visit from two!

It was kind of cute and she was doing a good job. A good job!!

She didn't have to worry about asking him, because oho what was this. He'd already gotten off the bike to follow her for this one! Whoa. Psychic? (No.)

"Sure did."

Oh! Well how about that! Hummy seems pleasantly surprised by this turn of events.

"Hehe, she's going to be so surprised, nya!" She giggles to herself as she turns back around, waddling up to the door with the cupcake box held out in front of her. She sits it down only briefly to give the door a little knock.

"Hello~ Kyoko, are you home?"

Oh? A knock? Was someone supposed to be visiting today? Kyoko couldn't recall any such plans, and she was already halfway down the hall before she placed the owner of that cute little voice.

Flinging open the door, she stared down at her surprise guest with shimmering eyes, adoration all ready to go.

"Hummy-chaaAAAAN~!" She might not know what all this was, but she was alreacy ascending. If somehow their third housemate hadn't noticed all this commotion yet, he would surely be alerted soon. "Shinjiiiiiii! Come here! Come look!! Come right now!!!"

Whoa whoa, what's with all of the commotion? Shinji had heard Kyoko on her way to get the door, curious enough about who could possibly be there to linger in the next room over, just close enough to catch what might be easy to overhear. Just enough to figure out what all is up. A tiny bit of eavesdropping.

But, no, that's not what's in store for him today. Instead he gets an earful of Very Insistent hollers directed right at him! Gosh! Okay! He will peer on out into the entryway to see what all of this commotion is about.

"What's going on...?"

Oh? Oh oh??? Now that was a familiar name and face!

"Shinji! You're visiting too? What a coincidence, nya!" Gosh! Her friends being friends with one another! How wonderful!! It brings a great big (oblivious) smile to Hummy’s face. She sits down the box and waves him over.

Not even a single greeting for him, huh. It's fine, it's fine. Get a load of this cat!!

Kai huffed in amusement, crouching down behind Hummy to reach out and gently pat her on the head. "Hey, you want to come in for a drink with these ones? You've been hard at work."

He glanced up at Kyoko and Shinji there in the distance, lifting his hand as if to say 'yo.'

Shinji look! At this cat!! Kyoko stepped aside to give him the best possible viewing experience.

Oh wait, was there also a guy here? There was a guy here. Well, he lived here, so this wasn't exactly an exciting development, but sure, hi Kai. Cool how you ran into this cat on your way home? That was an excellent suggestion you were proposing, though!

"Hummy-chan, do you like cream?? Come inside and rest for as long as you want!"

Hummy looks up(side down) at Kai and smiles at the soft pat of a hand. Her eyes don’t stay there for long, though, shifting to Kyoko when she speaks up. "Mm! Cream is delicious, nya! That sounds really nice!" There’s not a lot she won’t eat or drink, to be honest. You could give her just about anything and she’d be content.

"Ah, just let me go get another box first. Kyoko, this one is for you, nya!" She gestures to the box beside her and then, not waiting for a response, turns and makes a running leap back into the sidecar. Moments later she pops out with another box which she totes back to the doorway. "This one is for Shinji! Since you’re here, I thought I might as well give it to you now!"

Get a load of this cat! Shinji! Has met this cat before! But he will still scoot his way over to the door to get a look at what sorts of boxes are being exchanged here, and - oh!

"Hello, Hummy," best to greet the face of the delivery herself before shooting Kaito a wave as well. He sees you there, hard at work. What an excellent pair of delivery... people? Deliverers. Good job.

Hold up.

"One for me, too..?"

He did not order anything? What??

"One for both of you," Kai confirmed with a wide grin.

He Hummy another little pat once she was back. Good double delivery work there! Then hoisted himself back to his feet to survey these delivery efforts.

"She's on a mission, y'see."

A... box? A box. It wasn't that Kyoko hadn't noticed that Hummy had a box with her, but she hadn't registered it as anything particularly important. Probably just part of whatever Important Hummy Business was going on.

But no, apparently this box was for her?? As in, her, Kyoko Mogami? What???

Kneeling to pick it up, Kyoko looked from Kaito, and then at Shinji, and then down back at the cat.

"A mission?"

"Nyapu!" Hummy nods in affirmation, holding the second box up and waggling it as if to instruct Shinji to take it.

"I’ve been here almost a year now, nya, and I’ve made so many wonderful new friends. They’ve told me about their lives and their worlds... and I want to share part of my world with them in return! I want to share Lucky Spoon with them, nya!"

...What the heck’s a Lucky Spoon?

Let Shinji relieve you of that boxy burden, Hummy. He carefully lifts it up out of her paws, treating the mysterious parcel with a great deal of care. It. sure doesn't feel like this box is full of spoons, so maybe that's just a name rather than an actual descriptor.

"Has it really been that long already...?" It has been close to two years for himself and Kai, but gosh does time fly, huh? But, that still leaves what's in the boxes a mystery. "Is it all right if we open them?"

These aren't meant to be a surprise for later or anything, are they?

"Yes! Please go ahead!" Hummy beams.

If they open their boxes they’ll find two immaculately decorated cupcakes - one chocolate and one vanilla - with just the right ratio of colorful frosting to soft, fluffy cake.

"The repleecators at home recently started making something incredible!" she explains with bright and eager eyes. "They taste just like the ones Kanade and her family make!! As soon as I tried them, I knew I had to share with everyone, nya!"

"Ohhh," Kai said softly. He knew they were doing cupcake deliveries, but he hadn't known the whole backstory to them. He still didn't, technically, but he could put the proper hops and leaps together well enough. "I didn't know they were hometown delicacies."

How many pats was this cat gonna get?? We're at three now, folks.

With that permission granted, Kyoko had dutifully opened up her spoon box, eyes round. As she took in the contents and Hummy laid out that charming story, those round eyes started shimmering. What? What?!! This was almost certainly the cutest thing that had ever happened to her in her life!

"H-Hummy-chan...! You really are a being of true goodness and light!"

Shinji opens up his own box at the same time and... Oh. Oh wow.

Maybe he wouldn't go as hard on the praises as Kyoko has, but truly, this is... a really, really sweet thing to be doing. How can a cat be so good? How in the world did he end up with a box, too?

"These look amazing, Hummy." Let's - hang on, yeah, let's step aside. Make room for catte! "Come on in," they can get her that promised cream to drink!!

Hummy wiggles bashfully at the praise and, moreover, at the excitement and appreciation in the other's eyes and voices. This was the sort of thing that made it all worthwhile.

"I'm so happy you like them!" she proclaims as she follows Shinji's prompt and walks inside, examining the decor. "It might not seem possible, but they actually taste even better than they look, nya!"

[When Akechi got her message, he hadn't originally given his address. He wasn't really interested in this "secret" or "present", but she had been so damn persistent. Eventually, he just gave it to her to finally drop the conversation. Too bad he completely spaced off this conversation, because here she was as promised. Oh... Right...]

What can I help you with, Hummy-san? [He noted that box in her hands already.]

[Here she was, and she’s happy to see you!] I brought you something, nya! [She holds up the box as high as she can manage (which isn’t terribly high.)]

Do you like sweets, Akechi?

[Taking the box from her gently enough, he glanced at it for a moment before looking back to her.]

I don't mind them, but this wasn't really necessary.

[But he won't turn her gift down at least. He just doesn't expect gifts, really... ever. Getting that birthday gift at the start of the month from Ren was a surprise enough to him.]

Mm, maybe not necessary, but I wanted to! It’s a gift!!

I want to share a bit of my world with all my friends, nya! [There she goes, casually dropping the F word on people again. If he opens the box, he’ll find two picture perfect cupcakes - one chocolate and one vanilla - with sweet colorful frosting and super light, moist cake.]

[A gift... Well, he was in a place that heavily encouraged hugging and affection. It was much different from the upbringing that he had been used to. Being a mostly private person made you jaded. To put it plainly, real genuine generosity without a catch was something that he was not used to. Nobody did things out of the kindness of their hearts from his experiences so it was certainly a strange feeling.

The cupcakes looked like they were carefully crafted with care. They did look like they would be delicious, so he could see she put some effort into making these. Or so he assumes that she had. There was a possibility that she just bought some somewhere, but that was beside the point.

Awkwardly rubbing the back of his neck with his free hand, he wasn't really sure how to respond. "Sorry", "Thank you", and "Nice to meet you" were not really in his vocabulary unless he was putting on a front so it wasn't really easy to say them with meaning. And then dropping the F word so casually has him a bit perplexed as to how to respond.]

A bit of your world huh? [A pause, as if he has to really work to think of what to say.] Well, I.. uh... I appreciate the gesture.

[Had Hummy actually made them herself, the results would have been much sloppier in that sort of charming "child trying their very best" sort of way. No, in actuality...]

Yeah! The replicator at the house recently started making cupcakes, nya! They look and taste juuusttt like the ones from the bakery my friend runs back home! They're the very best!!!

...Oh! I added the sprinkles, though! [She puffs up proudly, then smiles. She might not have been observant enough to notice his struggle to come up with something to say but she certainly wasn't going to let the result go unanswered.] You're very welcome! I'd be so happy if you enjoyed them, nya!

[Perhaps it was better she didn't then. That made sense at least.]

I wasn't aware the replicators were able to make sweets.

[Now he sort of wishes that his did.]

Uh-huh! They can! Sometimes they taste kind of funny, though. That’s why I was so surprised when I got these, nya!! They always taste perfect!! [She nods emphatically.]

Tamaki says they must be a gift from the Gods! That’s all the more reason to share them, right~?

Tony was out running an errand for the bar when he spotted Kaito's bike. He smiled and raised his hand to wave at his friend, but otherwise fully intended to continue walking toward his business.

However, the bike slowed to a stop so he did the same. It was right in time to see a cat hop out of the side car and the damn thing spoke to him. He barely missed a beat before putting a hand to his forehead and rubbing it with a soft groan. Of course there was a pink and white talking cat. Why wouldn't there be? He'd be happy if he didn't see another floating, physic whale though..

Dropping his hand, he offered the cat a belated friendly smile. "Hello Kitty is going to be very jealous of you."

Though Hummy is quick to smile back at Tony, her expression soon becomes puzzled. She blinks and tilts her head curiously at the man. Just who was this Hello Kitty? She'd never heard that name before.

"Jealous? Of me? Why's that, nya?"

He chuckled and crouched down on one knee so he could talk to her better.

"Well, first of all, you're very cute and pink. She loves pink. And she's a cartoon white kitty drawn without a mouth most of the time so she'd be envious of your ability to talk," he explained with a grin. In case that wasn't enough, he added, "She was one of my daughter's favorites."

Without a mouth? That was… a little horrifying, actually, but thankfully Hummy doesn’t dwell on that part for long. "A cartoon? I see! Are you from Earth?" She’d seen cartoons on TV at Hibiki’s house when she was out at school.

"All the cats in Major Land can talk, nya." A pause. "Ah, thank you for the compliment, by the way! My name is Hummy! What’s yours?"

"I am. One version of it, at least." He would've asked if she was also from Earth but that question got answered pretty fast. That was good. The idea of an Earth with cats that looked like her might have melted his brain.

"Nice to meet you, Hummy, I'm Tony." He glanced toward Kaito and the motorcycle. "What are you doing riding around in Kai's bike, Hummy?"

"Oh, do you know Kaito too? He’s very nice, isn’t he?" She glances back at Kai with a smile before turning her attention to the question posed to her.

"Well, you see, I’m on a secret mission, nya!" There’s a pride and excitement in her voice. "We're delivering cupcakes to aaaaall my friends here in town!"
