i - Robots are cute! Watch that step!: [On waking up in a strange place, after being completely captivated by the temple she had found herself in, the appearance of metal men was something of a shock!

She might have bopped one on the head.

Her shock was short lived as she realised these robots were the friendly kind and Aerith couldn't apologise enough. She listened as they explained everything to her with a growing sense that these guys were so very, very cute!

If it was hugs they wanted, it was hugs they would get. So to thank them for their help, she gave them each a hug before venturing out into the world with a big smile on her lips and a skip to her step.

And immediately her boot hit a patch of ice and her legs wen flying out from under her with a yelp.]

Oh!

[Catch her. Watch her bounce down the steps and land on her rump. Flip a coin and see what happens!]


ii - Do you want to build a snowman?: [Humming a happy little tune, Aerith had walked past enough snow that, in the end, she'd been helpless to hold back from the desire to make a snowman!

So far she had a medium sized ball of packed snow as a base, but she would be more than happy for some help with the rest!

And if you have a carrot, even better!]


iii - Garden exploration: Oh, how beautiful...

[Aerith had found herself at the Botanical Gardens, a small entrance fee was well worth the glory she found inside. Even in the cold and the snow, there was so much colour and growth.

She walked down paths, hands reaching out to delicately touch flowers.

Smiling serenely, Aerith crouched and delicately brushed the snow off of a poor little flower that had been covered. She spoke softly to the little shoot.]

There you go. And now you can see the sun again and grow big and strong like your siblings.


iiiv - Marshmallows please! [After her cold adventures, Aerith discovered a wonder of wonders!]

Affurgato, hm? What a strange name.

[She would enter into warmth and warm smells and hurry to the counter with a wide smile.]

One hot chocolate please! With marshmallows!


v - Home away from Home: [Hands linked behind her back, booted feet kicking up snow, Aerith wandered down a road looking up at houses.

She'd been TOLD that she could pick her own. But that was rude, wasn't it? She'd never had a home of her own. She'd never lived on her own. How did one even do that?

And yet she was excited as well as nervous.]

I just... have to find the perfect home first. [Words murmured under her breath before a soft sigh.] Easier said than done.

[Cloud's used to the weather and being careful about walking when there's a lot of ice around. You kind of have to if you are a country boy who grew up in a mountain village.

Still, that doesn't make him prepared for someone bumping STRAIGHT into him and knocking him over. And while Aerith doesn't land on her ass, he does land on his. With a loud yelp.

Say hi to your bodyguard, Aerith.]

[Her rump was safe for another day!

Her knees, though. Might be a little scuffed.

The body she bumped into gave in to gravity and fell backwards with Aerith following suit. She ended up on her hands and knees, eyes closed tight, hands at either side of the person's head, a little afraid to peek and see the damage she'd done.

... She sloooowly cracked an eye open.

And then both flashed open and before she could help herself, she dropped and hugged the body that had broken her fall.]

Cloud!! You're here too! [Say hi to a very happy Aerith, Cloud!]

Owwwww.....shit....[Meanwhile he's sore. And a little wet.

He looks up, trying to see who or what bumped into him and then gasps in shock.] Aerith? You're - ooof! [And suddenly, her arms are around him, immediately tensing up. And yet he doesn't push her away. Even after Pyra has hugged him a couple of times, it still feels.....

Wait, he needs not to get caught up in FEELS. More importantly.] You're back? Since when? Uh - [Hang on a second.] Hang on. Do you remember being here at all?

[Nope, you sill submit to a hug, Cloud! At least until she realises that he's lying in snow and then she'll apologise like her life depends on it, but for now she's hugging and laughing.

At least until Cloud asks his question, and then she'd pull back with a quizzical look.]

I've never been here before, Cloud. Did you hit your head? [She asked with concern and moved one of her hands to feel his head.] I've just arrived, silly!

[She says she hasn't been ] No, you were here before. You don't remember....it wasn't for very long though.

[You saw him and Tifa stuck together, helped them, got stuck to them too and then the three of you walked around town while your two friends were as embarrassed as hell you just smiled and waved at everyone. BUT HE IS GOING TO LEAVE OUT THAT PART.

Besides, he'll need to explain - wait.] Did anyone fill you in on this place?

[ Is she... speaking to flowers? Pyra can't be certain, but she'll responds to what Aerith had first said, the "oh, how beautiful" part. ] Aren't they?

[ She'll announce herself before she approaches just to not surprise her, and should Aerith turn to look who speaks, Pyra lifts her hand up for a friendly wave, one that's accompanied by a smile. ]

These flowers are all preserved species from this world, from what I've been told. I hope one day they'll be able to grow wildly again.

[She looked up quickly when someone spoke, eyes widening a little. Oh, she's pretty!

Her smile was wide in return and her own hand lifted, along with the rest of herself as Aerith stood and dusted the snow off of her knees.]

I am certain they will. They're eager, I think, to make this world green again.

[ She folds her hands in front of her. “They’re eager...”

How poetically put, she thinks, smiling at her. ] There was a superbloom in the springtime. It was the first time even inside the barrier had anything resembling natural vegetation...

[ She recalls this fondly. ] It’s far more beautiful than anything I’ve ever hardened. [ She had two gardens, one in her old house and one in her new.

...They’re both not the best. Which is why she admires the botanical ones, even if the division of flora species lends an almost laboratory-like quality to the facility. ]

A superbloom?

[The flowers weren't the only eager thing! Aerith took a few quick steps forward, her expression excited and curious, her hands lifting as she leans forward in her eagerness.]

Oh please, tell me more? Could that happen again, do you think? What caused it to happen?

[Could it be replicated? Aerith was sure it could be, with a little gumption and a can-do attitude anything could happen!]

We hope so-- that it will happen again. [ Perhaps when it's warmer out, when spring comes. Perhaps it will be even more magnificent than before. ]

As for its cause...

[ Pyra extends a hand towards Aerith. ]

It was this.

[ Touch. ] The power of bonds. Physical ones.

[Affurgato is nice and quiet at this hour, so Lup's up front for once, reorganizing the cafe a bit during the down time. She looks up as a customer arrives, and what a cheery girl this is...]

I think I can arrange that. Wanna sit in or take it to go?

I think I should sit in. It's lovely and warm inside.

[And the delicious smells were far too enticing to want to leave. Better to sit and enjoy her drink and consider her new location a little more.]

True that. Well, feel free to pick a booth anywhere you want, and we'll get you your drink pretty quick. You want a cat?

[Like any good cafe, the sweet scent in the air is to entice people to buy the food. Sorry not sorry!]

A cat?

[She laughed at the thought, and after a moment she nodded.]

Well why not? If there's one available? I wouldn't want to inconvenience them, I understand how busy cats can be. [What with their napping and chasing of mice and napping...]

No inconvenience, they're on the clock. Hold your hands out for a sec?

[If Aerith happens to follow that instruction, Lup will snap her fingers and point, and a cat will appear in her arms. He looks half-asleep.]

[ Hi Aerith! Have a Tifa just walking along when she gets knocked down hard, tumbling and landing face first on the ground.

Ugh, who?

Tifa lifts her head and looks back to see: ]

... Aerith?

Ouch ouch ouch...

[Unable to stop herself, she'd collided with a body and as they went down, so did she. She landed just beside them and rubbed at her hip. It was her butt that she'd landed on but she couldn't very well go and rub that now could she?

Though when she heard her name spoken, in a voice she knew very well, Aerith looked up...

And immediately launched herself forward and threw her arms around Tifa's neck.]

Tifa! You're here too!

[peeressofpullups]

[ She's... not at all surprised by the hug, giving a laugh. She's happy to know that she and Aerith are here now. Cloud hadn't mentioned her so she must've just gotten in. ]

Seems Cloud can't get rid of us.

[ Hold on a minute. ]

Do you remember being here before, Aerith?

[Big squeezy hug. She was a limpet stuck to the side of a boat. You'd need a crowbar to get her off!

Or just mention Cloud and something strange.

She pulled back, but kept her arms around Tifa's neck.]

I've never been here before. I'd remember if I was! Have you...?

I was here before! Not that long though.

[ Air, finally air. It felt like Aerith was squeezing the air out of her lungs at first.

She's not going to mention Aerith teasing the major hell out of them before. ]

[ Lup might have already helped her out with her order, but if she hangs out long enough, Aerith has the opportunity to encounter the other elf-like staff member at Affurgato while she checks on the patrons. So many new faces, lately. ]

Hello. Have you been settling in well?

[Aerith had sat herself down with her hot chocolate, just grinning down into the drink as she watched marshmallows bob and melt. She poked one with the tip of her index finger, muttered a soft 'ouch' and then promptly licked the sticky mallow off of her finger.

It was with her finger in her mouth that the strange new lady found her. Aerith's eyes widened, her cheeks coloured and she pulled her finger from her mouth and replaced it with a smile.]

So far! I've only been here a... umm... I'm not sure of the time. But today is my first day.

I apologize if I startled you.

[ The tips of the woman's ears shift with an apologetic bent, subtle enough that flicker might be missed. ]

You seemed unfamiliar, but I had not realized it was your first day here.

Oh nono, no need to apologise! [She waves her hands and shakes her head to emphasise her point and has to laugh.]

I was in my own little world. But hi! I'm Aerith, it's really nice to meet you!

[ She inclines her head. ]

I happen to work here as well, so I was just seeing if you needed anything else. Although you do seem contented, there.
