Approx a week before Noctis' Birthday
Does he:
A.) Return to his room and hope the whole house doesn't burn down when the burning of food eventually happens?
B.) Try to help save the kitchen from whatever horror is being visited upon it?
C.) Try to help the fool who is attempting to do Astrals know what to the food in there?
D.) Grab his tablet and duck flying flour to record the whole mess as it goes down in real time?
E.) Active the secret Tonberry Weapon (TM) and allow IT to deal with whatever is going on in there? ]

Ah...is everything quite alright?

How did he make it look so easy?

[Ardyn did try not to laugh, setting Viridi on the floor and brushing off some of the flour when he approached.]
Would you like some help?
no subject
Ignis didn't happen to tell you the magic trick he had for making those tarts Noctis likes so well, did he? My son's birthday is coming up soon and since Ignis isn't here anymore, I thought I would try to make them so Noctis can at least have a little something tied to his friend there.

[Regis sighs and turns back to his tablet, tapping it gently on the counter to remove as much flour from it as possible.]
The filling seems relatively simple, but the crust is defeating me completely. Will Viridi be assisting?
[Because, why not? Can things actually go any worse?]
no subject
Here, let me take a look at that.

Regis hands over the tablet wondering offhandedly what the natives will think if he has to get a replacement one because of all the flour that is no doubt slipping into every nook and cranny.]
Did Ignis teach you what all the measurement abbreviations mean? What is the difference between tbsp and tsp?
no subject
One’s smaller.

[The answer seems so obvious now that he knows exactly what he is suppose to be looking for. That just leaves one more question.]
Which would be the tablespoon and which the teaspoon?

I wasn't expecting it to attack me when I opened it! You would have been surprised too.

[Since Ardyn doesn't seem as if he is going to give Regis the pity he deserves then there is no reason to linger.]
I did know what cups were at least. Will you check that bowl? I believe I got the right amount in there eventually.
[If only because most of the rest of it was spilled everywhere else.]
no subject
[Which he would, and barring it looking like an overfloured disaster he would calmly set it aside for the moment outside the Danger Zone.]
I think that's in order or close to it. What else do we require?
no subject
Two eggs. Without shells.
[He keeps cracking them too hard, Ardyn. Just look at the mess in the sink. HELP.]
