Come together, right now

♥ Who: Sougo & OTA!
♥ Where: Around & about
♥ When: May 7th & a few days after
♥ What: Sougo being introduced to this Strange New World and the existential crises that come bundled with that. Used one of the suggested prompts (Just Like Glue).
♥ Rating: G? Maybe into PG for language? Not from Sougo, but I expect Tamaki could drop some words.

1) Waking Up

[There were a lot of things stressful about Sougo's day so far. Firstly, he has found himself in a bed in a room that he is completely unfamiliar with. Second, there are robots... robot people? that are trying to explain something to him that isn't fully making it through to him right away. And finally, he was supposed to have an interview this morning and if he didn't get Tamaki up, they would be late and that was just plain unacceptable!

The first two reasons are a little bit more immediately pressing, though, and as panic grips Sougo he finds himself doing something he wouldn't normally - namely, he has gripped his own smartphone hard and is holding it up like it's a rock he's about to throw.]

S-stay back! I have a weapon and I'm not afraid to use it!!

[His voice is so loud (and a little shrill) that it can be heard from outside. The local residents could probably use a little help calming a frazzled boy down.]

2) Around

[After the little kerfuffle when he woke up, Sougo has been fully informed of the situation (though he still thinks he's probably dreaming or something) and is wandering around Havenwell to get a feel for the area. He has his tablet out and will stop occasionally to tap through some of the apps on it, trying to figure out where he is, what all this tablet can do, and where he should be going.]

It's pretty simple, like a phone, but some of this just feels so strange...

[You might catch him muttering to himself as he stops dead where he is, obviously trying to scoot off to the side and out of the way, but not succeeding very well.]

3) Stuck Together

[It was just Sougo's luck that as he was starting to feel gently comfortable about finding his way around using the tablet he had been given for guidance he bumped into someone and couldn't seem to move away from them.]

I'm... I'm so sorry, I don't know what's... ah, could you... maybe try to move away as well?

[Sougo's shoulder is the most likely place to have become stuck to, but you can pick where you're stuck on yourself and him if you'd prefer!]

[It's only another beat before Sougo is reaching out for Tamaki's hand, grasping it tightly with relief evident on his face.]

Oh thank goodness! I'm so happy to see a familiar face! I've been... [HEAVY SIGH] ...so stressed all day trying to figure this out.

[Are those tears in his eyes? Maybe just a little, don't worry about it!!!]

[What? You think this is a hand-holding situation you're in, Sougo?? No, we are long past the point of hand holds.

What we are doing now involves: 1) Tamaki straight-up just dropping the box he had tucked away under his arm. It's... fine. It's probably fine. Don't worry about it. What you might need to worry about is, 2) Tamaki wrapping his arms around Sougo and pulling him into a big old bear hug.]

What the heck, Sou-chan? [Upset? Overjoyed? It's probably hard to put a thumb on what he's feeling exactly, but he's not about to let go of you right now, Sougo!!] It's been, like, forever since I saw you?

[Oh. Oh geez. Tamaki's hugging him. Oh god, oh geez...! Sougo is so taken aback by the action (why?) that for a moment he just stiffens like he wants to run away. But then his mind catches up with him and his cheeks dust lightly pink as he raises a hand to gently pat Tamaki on the back.]

It... It's okay, Tamaki-kun. It hasn't been that long, it's just because everything's strange and new.

[He... immediately assumes that Tamaki is just exaggerating how long it's been. Sorry!]

I... think you dropped something though? I hope it's not broken...

[Sorry, but Sougo is ... struggling with the length of the hug, hhhhhh.]

[Guess what? He's not letting go yet, perhaps even tightening his hold slightly as Sougo pats his back. Good luck surviving this one, buddy.]

It's fine! [He! Does not care about the box he dropped!! Hopefully... hopefully whatever's in there is fine, but it didn't really sound like anything broke, so Tamaki's paying 0 attention to it right now.] But t's been a really long time, Sou-chan! Like, super long! Months!

[This a lot for A Sougo Heart to take, Tamaki!! But... since he's not going anywhere, Sougo decides to gently fist the back of Tamaki's shirt in both of his hands and press his face into the younger man's chest. He's allowed to think this is nice, right...?

NO, OKAY BRAIN, BACK ON TASK, TAMAKI'S SAYING SOME WEIRD STUFF!]

M-months? Tamaki-kun, I literally saw you last night...

[Did Tamaki have a weird dream or something?]

No you didn't! [Dude.] I've been here since, like... [Hang on, give him a second to remember,] September? They don't call it September here, though! It's weird! But it's the same thing as September!

It's May right now, I've been here the whole time!

[Having a conversation while being hugged is becoming more and more awkward for Sougo and he's going more and more red in the face as a result.]

But I... I brought over the sample of my song for you to listen to last night...?

[He sounds very confused. It's May? Wait, and Tamaki has been here for seven months?? This is No Good!]

[Sorry, Sougo, you're trapped here until he stops feeling so ~emotional~

That was so long ago! There's no way you didn't notice I was gone!!

[He does, at least, sound a tiny bit like he's starting to see that there's some disconnect here. It's not like Sougo would just lie about not noticing he was gone for so long! But from his perspective, he has been gone that long!]

[Fine, fine, he will continue to deal with just... resting on these pecs, goddamn.]

You... Tamaki-kun, you weren't gone...

[Sougo is starting to sound as confused as Tamaki feels.]

Are you... sure you've been here that long?

Yes! I'm sure!

[Why would he lie about that? It's so specific! If he were going to be exaggerating the situation, wouldn't he be way more vague? Come one, Sougo.]

I've got... hang on, [He'll keep one arm on Sougo, but your wish to be freed comes sooner than Tamaki intended - he pulls away enough to raise his communicator up so he can scroll through things long enough to pull up... aha! Here we go!] This is from December! [Take a look yourself, he has proof of being here at least that long!]

[Thank goodness, holy shit.

Sougo will take these few moments to compose himself, taking a couple of deep breaths and holding a hand to his chest to try and regulate his racing heartbeat. Geez, Tamaki, are you trying to kill him?

He peers at the photo and frowns in uncertainty.]

That's... But it was just...

[He fishes his cell phone from his pocket. They may be out of cell range, but that just means that the date and time on his phone will be stuck at the timezone he was in when he lost service. He unlocks the screen and shows Tamaki the date - which is probably? Somewhere in late summer/early fall? idek.]

Yes, look! This place has a completely different ... um... time? From back home! A-and Nagi-kun was home last night too!

[Just to... assuage any fears Tamaki has, since apparently Nagi was here???]

[Time is fake, but two can play at that game! Pocketing his tablet, Tamaki instead fishes out his own cell phone, unlocking it and showing off the date and time - a good eight months out of sync with what's on Sougo's.]

See? I remember you bringing me the sample of your song too but that was a real, real long time ago! And Nagicchi...

[Ah, that took some of the wind out of his sails.]

He was here for a couple of months, we showed up at the same time.

Nagi-kun never mentioned anything about... this...

[Sougo is staring at Tamaki's phone, looking a little off-balance by this whole thing.]

But then... if we're to believe what we were told, we're in a different... dimension entirely from home.

[Oh, now things are making sense!]

Time must move at different rates for home and here! That's why you've been here so long but I remember seeing you last night!

That's... [Confusing. But probably the best guess out of anything? But also maybe kind of irrelevant, all things considered,] Maybe, yeah, but I've still been here alone for so long!

[There goes is phone, right back into his pocket, so that he can go back to a more proper hug. R.I.P. yet again, souchan.]

[Ah, dang, okay. Sougo is being hugged again. He wraps his arms more securely around Tamaki's middle, burying his face in the other boy's shoulder.]

I'm so sorry, Tamaki-kun. I ... I wish I had been here for you. I can't imagine how lonely you've been...

[His words are quiet, muttered into Tamaki's shoulder.]

[Okay, okay, that does console him a bit. He stays right there for a little longer, though, just kind of... enjoying the presence of a familiar person.]

It was my first time living alone, you know? It really sucks. [Why would anyone do that willingly?? Awful. But! That does remind him, and he pulls away from the hug again, keeping his hands on Sougo's shoulders,] Did anyone show you where the housing and stuff is?

[Honestly, Sougo is gently aware of how bad living alone can be - and he had been living in a dorm where he was not actually alone, but certainly felt like it all the time.

Sougo is reluctant to let go of Tamaki now that he's had a hold of him for so long, but he releases his grip on the boy's shirt as he finds himself looking up at Tamaki.]

...huh? O-oh, no! I only just got here and...

[A blush rises high on Sougo's cheeks.]

...I may have run away from anyone who could have told me where to go when I first woke up...?

[???]

Why would you do something like that?

[Sou-chan.]

[PLEASE DON'T JUDGE HIM OMG.]

I... I panicked?

[He fidgets, awkwardly.]

I wasn't expecting to wake up to robots in a strange room, alright? It was really unsettling for me...

[He's only gonna gently judge, because that's still kind of worth judging.]

Well... that's okay. I'll show you around! And - ! There's still tons of space in the house I've been staying in! You should move in with me.

[As if there was gonna be any other option, here. You've gonna move in with him, right, Sou-chan?]

[ohthankgod he isn't going to harp on Sougo's reaction to waking up here, whew. Sougo did not want to have to tell him about threatening to throw rocks at the robots...]

Haaah, I'd love for you to show me around, Tama--... eh?

[He stops himself, blinking at his partner.]

[And then goes Very Pink in the face.]

I... of course I'll move in with you! That's how we've been anyway...

[He totally wasn't just assuming they would be living together anyway, noooooo....]

[It's a safe assumption, but also having it confirmed is reassuring!]

Yeah? [Duh.] Okay! Great! I just gotta - [Oh, right, he was in the middle of something before all of this, wasn't he? He gives Sougo's shoulder a gentle squeeze before letting go so that he can, uh, pick up that package he had dropped. Right. That.] I gotta finish up this run, okay? Then I can show you around some.

[Sougo is free from his personal Heaven-Hell, thank goodness! But also boooooo! He lets out a soft laugh, smiling at Tamaki.]

That's very responsible of you, Tamaki-kun! Do you mind if I accompany you on your delivery? That way I'll be right there when you're done.

[And by you the whole time, he feels bad for Tamaki having been without him for so long...]

I don't want you wandering off and getting lost.

[So? Like? Obviously? You're coming with him.]

It's a place that's supposed to be right around here. Lemme check... [Now that his hands are freed up, he can re-retrieve his tablet, which has the address saved.] It's like a... repair shop? For the robots. I think.

[Sure. Probably.]

This way, c'mon.

[...obviously. Sougo laughs awkwardly as he tags along after Tamaki.]

The robots need you to deliver things to them at their own repair shops? I don't know why, but that seems a little... mmmm, ironic?

[He's... he's trying to make light conversation, but his mind is still deep in some philosophical bullshit from all of this, so please forgive him Tamaki...]
