[Noctis makes short work of the first beast that reaches him, phasing over it as it lunges towards him, jaws open and front claws flexed, bones protruding at uncomfortable angles. He swings the Mystic's blade at its back as he returns to a physical state, tearing clean through its spine; there's no time to play around this time, with them more dangerously outnumbered and two of them on Pyra now, though at least it looks as if she's got it handled. He turns back to face the rive talons he'd left in the lightning, but when his gaze reaches them, there's only one still struggling to escape his trap. The other is-
-on his back, suddenly, snarling furiously and knocking him to the ground. The blade vanishes in a scattering of crystals, and he cries out in startled pain as curved horns of fused bone and metal tear into his shoulderblades from behind, holding him pinned in place. It takes some effort, but after a moment of struggle he's able to get an elbow up to slam into the beast's neck, causing it to yelp and retract enough that he can roll over, tearing himself free the rest of the way. He stretches a hand out and summons Ultima back into his palm just as it recovers and leaps towards him, and he lets the rive talon impale itself and die with a miserable gurgle. It drops to the ground when he releases his sword back to the magical armory, and he stands up, gripping his arm and panting in pain, blood soaking into the material of his jacket. The lightning's finally faded, which leaves him with one more. Might be tricky, with his shoulders in this state, but he's had worse.]
Come on, [he snaps in its direction, hunching over, trying to bait it in. He's wounded, easy prey. Get in close where he wants it.]
