Where it went, they did not know at the time. Near the barrier, they had been able to measure the levels of each signature to it, monitoring the four bands that comprised a more unified, golden appearance.
Now they know more. The individual signatures of energy given by contact is then... siphoned, it seems, to travel in a general direction towards the temples. Simultaneously, it's everywhere. This isn't surprising, but it does reveal one thing: that this energy can be detected, it does exist in separate forms. It only takes a lot of power to be able to discern and separate them. They exist in different amounts-- again, nothing new-- but now they know for certain that they travel, first, before unifying....
