March Catch-all

♥ What: A general catch-all for the month of March with demon slayer kids
♥ Rating: PG-13 at least because Zenitsu can be a potty mouth... Will adjust as needed.


[ 1 - Tanjiro & Zenitsu; Training / Various places ]
[ Whether it be in one of the VR cafes in the entertainment district, or at Diacht's temple, the two will be found doing some training.

If you are to join them in the VR cafes, what you'll be at the base of a mountain. It's not the mountain you may have seen during January, but a mountain nevertheless. You'll most likely hear Zenitsu shrieking in the distance as he falls into a pit hole or something. Hey, it's training! There's gotta be obstacles, right? If you call out for anyone, either Tanjiro or Zenitsu will show up, the former looking super energetic and beaming with happiness, or the latter being super tired and looking like his soul's getting sucked out.

Or, if you happen to be Diacht's temple during early parts of the day, the kids will be warming up for a run around the city. You'll most likely hear Zenitsu mainly whining and complaining while Tanjiro is most likely trying to get Zenitsu to hype up for training instead. They're totally good friends.

It'll be fairly quick for the two (or one of them) to realize another person when they get closer. ]

[ 2 - Zenitsu; Shopping District ]
[ Whatever free time he's got left during the time is spent wandering around the shopping district by himself. He's basically just window shopping, as it was the area that would have been remotely close to the city he was living in. Not to mention with previous relationships in the past, he'd spend a lot of time (and money) buying gifts for his now former girlfriends. You can safely assume he's spent a fortune before.

He's no longer a heavy spender, but it will be just as easy for him to fall back to it when he cares so much for the female friends he's made over the past couple months.

If he sees a familiar face, he'll raise his hand and wave at you to catch your attention. If you're a girl, he'll give you a bright smile, but if you're a guy, you’re going to get his usual frown like he's scared of everything. ] ...Hey.

[ 3 - Tanjiro; Housing District ]
[ To be quite frank, Tanjiro is getting a little frustrated about how his cooking is turning out less than stellar as of late. He's pretty sure he has the temperature and spices correct, but more than a few times, the food ends up being a little too plain or a little too strong depending how the ingredients were replicated.

It doesn't help that Zenitsu's taste buds aren't keen but it is pretty spoiled, so he has a certain preference that Tanjiro's slowly learning over time, and over the times he missed the mark thanks to the replicator. But, as much as he wants to improve his cooking, he can't always rely on his friend to taste test everything.

Around afternoon, he'll be around the housing district with a food container in hand and several small forks. He's going to walk up to the first person he sees and holds a fork. ]

Excuse me! Would you like to try this?

[ You would think that after two months Tanjiro would be used to this whole western clothes business, but... he still isn't used to it...

They could only wear their demon slayer uniforms so often, they needed to be washed routinely, so both boys agreed to stock up on clothes a few days after their arrival in Havenwell. And thus, Tanjiro and Zenitsu ended up having a handful of western clothes. Dress shirts and slacks are straightfoward enough.

But the tie. Why did he agreed to Zenitsu about the tie again? He could never tie it properly or 'modern' enough. ]

Is the tie really that important?

This might be the only time we get to try out different outfits, and you complain about the tie??

[ Not that Zenitsu had much preference when it came to fashion up until now. I mean, look at what he was wearing before Kuwajima took him in.

It's not to say he wouldn't be interested in different fashion, no. ]

It's to dress proper! You've seen some people dress in this right?

[ Only those who have the means to dress fancy. Either way, Zenitsu was basically excited to try different things, and he's dragging his friend along to see how he'd look because he totally thinks Tanjiro will look ridiculous because of how traditional he's always been.

Anyways, Zenitsu's already getting the tie...tied... words... Living in the city has more opportunities for learning more modern stuff. He looks over to Tanjiro's direction and gives an exasperated look. ]

Are you saying that because you dunno how to tie one?

[scentsitivity]

Of course I haven't. I don't get why you're paying too much on a piece of fabric.

[ It's just hanging around his neck? If it had any function, like headbands, that would be a different story but it's just an ornament so it really means nothing to him.

Still, despite Tanjiro's protest, he loosens it and tries to put it together again... it looks like it's bundled together close to his neck. ]

I told you, it's part of the fashion style! It makes you look sharper! You don't wanna look lousy, don't you? And why're you the one complaining anyways?

[ Usually Zenitsu's the one doing the complaining! Anyways, he'll quickly lose his patience with a frustrated grunt and gets close to the other. ]

Here! This is how you tie it!

[ Hella close to each other, but Zenitsu's too busy trying to get Tanjiro to dress properly according to fashion so he'll start tying the tie for his friend. ]

[scentsitivity]

[ Tanjiro lets Zenitsu fix his tie, he does his best to hold still so that the blond can properly work on the accessory. ]

It doesn't really affect me either way besides if I wear fancy clothes like this, wouldn't they just end up getting dirty?

[zapdope]

What kinda situation are you gonna be to be fancy and get dirty? What about celebrations? You don't wanna be dressed lamely during that, right?

[ Celebrations like Nezuko's wedding.

Once he gets done he lightly pats his friend's shoulder. ]

There we go, all done. You paid attention to how to tie it, right?

I did.

[ He does take a better look at himself in the mirror, and okay it does make him a little more 'mordern' but-- ]

What if I was suddenly given a new mission? Or if a demon appeared out of nowhere while I'm dressed like this? It would just end up getting dirty.

[ He had to subdue a recently turned demon in Asakusa, man. ]

[zapdope]

...That part of you, Tanjiro...

[ Zenitsu sighs and shakes his head. ]

There won't be demons while we're here, right? I doubt the natives here would even allow demons here anyways. We should relax and try new things while we're here!

[ As he says that Zenitsu steps back to take a better look at his friend... and gets jealous. ]

What the heck, man! This is so unfair!!

[ why's the outfit suiting you so well! ]

[scentsitivity]

[ No demons but just you wait next month, Zenitsu.

He tilted his head as he beams. ]

Does it really look that good on me?

[zapdope]

[ Oh yeah, he'll be screaming and crying trying to escape from spiders again.

Right now, however, he's looking at Tanjiro with disbelief. That smile is 2 bright bro, regardless of that dumb icon. Zenitsu's going to pull at Tanjiro's cheeks instead. ]

Stop that, you dumbass!

[ Wow ow, but that still doesn't really stop him from smiling. Bro, you brought it up now you gotta deal with it. ]

That's what you mean, right? That this tie thing suits me?

[zapdope]

Whatever... Stop looking like that.

[ Yeah he totally regrets it. Zenitsu grumbles as he looks away and lets go of the other's face, turning to focus on something else like finishing his own outfit. He's not liking how Tanjiro's looking so happy about it. Despite not being up for trying out different outfits, maybe he did have an occasion in mind to dress up fancy, like a date with a girl. ]

Why're you chirpy all of the sudden anyways? Just a second ago you weren't up for it.

[scentsitivity]

Huh, am I?

[ Little that Tanjiro realise, he probably sounds a lot like chimes and light summer breeze from how elated he is. What an idiot. He's completely blind to it however, maybe it isn't so bad as he first thought. ]

I'm not sure, you just make the tie thing easier than it is.

[zapdope]

[ How fitting the sun theme is for Tanjiro, Zenitsu thinks. With that and the underlying kind sound that makes up Tanjiro's personality makes it so comforting to be around him.

And with their keen senses, it felt like he didn't really need to mention that for the other to understand it despite his whining and complaining. ]

Well... It does take some time to get used to, at least. I know I had to try a few times before getting it right.

[ Not really. He doesn't really get why Zenitsu is being like that, but there's relaxing note to his scent so he must not mind... whatever is making him looking at Tanjiro like that. ]

I couldn't get it right at all!

[zapdope]

[ That Tanjiro's expression... ]

Why're you being so happy while saying that? That's borderline rude!

[ POUTING ]

[ But why is it getting to Zenitsu so much? He's curious but his grin hadn't disappear entirely. ]

I'm not happy, I just think you did a pretty good job with this thing.

He's not going to deny feeling good about being actually useful, at least. ]

Well I did make sure to learn how to tie it properly. Just let me know if you need me to show it again.

Yeah.

[ He nods in agreement, he'll let Zenitsu have this one. ]

I still don't really get it, but I guess it doesn't hurt to look a bit modern.

[zapdope]

[ If he could change Tanjiro's opinion about anything new, it's a win for Zenitsu. He gives a smile at his friend's response. ]

Right?? I think it'd be a nice change of pace!
