Information Center
♥ Who: Anyone
♥ Where: The Information Center
♥ When: Anytime
♥ What: A placeholder log for people to post any visits if they don't want to make a separate log.
♥ Rating: PG? Depends on the thread.
The main room of the Information Center had a series of shelves with Verstael's journals lining them. They weren't completely full yet, but they were organized by type of information, and included recordings that could be played for characters who were unable to read.
What appeared to be a perch of some type sat near the wall. Otherwise there were some desks and chairs.
Not much decorated the room - it was straightforward in its presentation and function, with two types of forms next to the door.
A small nook sat on the other side of the room with a few chairs and a table. Anyone who went in that area would see grade school materials, though the area itself was also rather drab and uninspiring.
There was also a room in the back for Verstael's own work, but that wasn't meant for the populace. He could be found puttering around the center often, and was willing to assist people while they were there, but when he was absent the back door was locked and it was left to people to use it responsibly.

He looks briefly at the forms presented, lips quirking up in a faint smirk. Yes, quite simple, considering. Edmund leaves the forms, turning instead to look for the man responsible for all of this data.]
I was rather hoping you might have some blank pages I might be able to use. As I suspected the forms offered cover only the most basic information.

He glanced back when he heard someone enter. A young boy, yes, but he didn't necessarily write someone off because of that.
After all, he'd started off as a young boy, too, and he'd been a prodigy.
He quirked a brow slightly at the request but said nothing, instead walking over to some of his stock of paper. Though it was not in abundance in the city, it was one of the few things he invested heavily in. He placed the pages on a desk and slid them towards the boy.]
Please be sure to place relevant identifying information at the top. It makes it quicker to organize.

[He was pleased that the blond seemed willing enough to entertain the idea of him having useful information if nothing else. Some days he rather wished he still had his crown. There was nothing for it, however.
The stack of paper that Verstael offers is a start. He's sure he will need more but perhaps another day. Even at his best it would take days to write out everything about Narnia, never mind Archenland, Calormen, Telmar, London...]
Double sided or would you prefer single? If you leave the formatting to me it is likely to read like a legal document.

[Different countries from one world, for example, would likely be placed in alphabetical order under that world's file.]
Paper is a scarcity in these parts, so it is best to utilize as much space on it as possible.

So Edmund takes his papers and settles himself in at a table to begin writing. And writing. And writing. Eventually his hand will begin to cramp but that's hardly anything new. His writing, should Verstael peek over his shoulder is far more decorative and elaborate than one would expect from a child, curled tips that clearly expect the weight of quill and ink behind them. Even two years of school back in London have not been able to break him of that habit. Perhaps nothing ever will.
Verstael if you ever mean to go home you're likely going to have to kick him out.]
