♥ What: Smoothies. It's literally a party... to make smoothies. A smoothie mingle, if you will.
♥ Rating: S for Smoothie. Also I can't imagine this getting rated any more than a PG 13 for language and shenanigans.

[ A - It's shoppin' time! ]

[ In the morning, Aera can be found hanging around various areas of town, mostly picking up little things. Party hats, she's discovered, are some of her favorite things. She's also got to make sure she's got plenty of cups, too. If one is to throw a party based on the premise of whipping up various smoothies, then one needs to be properly prepared.

She's also dropping hand written invitations off and handing them out to random people, because why not?

The invitation simply reads:
'Dearest friend and or loved one,
It has been brought to my attention recently that smoothies are delicious and, apparently, on occasion, magical. With this in mind, I've realized that I do not actually know how to make a smoothie.
You are invited to my home [INSERT ADDRESS HERE] this evening for a smoothie party. Supplies will be provided, but if you wish to bring anything, please do. The more the merrier!

P.S - if Ardyn says he did not want to throw a party, do not believe him. He is lying. He is very excited about smoothies.

[ B - PARTAAAAAY ]

[ As the sun sinks and night falls, Aera's opened her home up to anyone and everyone. Upon your arrival, no matter who you are, you will be greeted with a hug and a kiss to the cheek, along with having a delightful party hat strapped to your head. How festive!

In the kitchen, she's got lots of things ready for smoothie making. Well... things she thinks would make for good smoothies. But if you've brought anything, she'll gladly take it with a thanks and place it with the rest of the things in the kitchen.

Go on. Make a smoothie. Drink the smoothie. Mingle. It's a smoothie party, after all. ]

Nita reaches to take the blender from him, checking the plug to make sure it's intact.]

Well, to run it, we'll need to find an open power socket to plug it in. But we can just set this down at a table in the meanwhile, while we put our ingredients in.

[Right. Plugging things in. It was a new concept that somehow felt very nostalgic in some odd way, but he didn't linger on it too long. Instead, he smiled and gestured for her to carry on, eager to watch her put together one of these 'smoothies'.]

I will trust your judgement, my friend.

[It makes her smile to hear him call her friend, though she doesn't linger on the notion long. Used to be that she didn't have much in the way of friends...

She moves the blender on over, setting it down with a soft thunk.]

Now we put the ingredients in one-by-one. There's no special order, though, but if you want one particular flavor to stick out it helps to have more of it in the mix!

[Well, it helps that Peter has never met a stranger in his life. Everyone was a friend until they prove to be an enemy, even here in this strange place full of magic and technology he'd never seen.]

Flavors? My dear, you keep assuming that I know anything about this process. I assure you, that is a mistaken notion.

[Nita chuckles.]

Just hand what you've got over. I'll stop you if it'll break the machine or anything.

[Which seems unlikely from the spread they've got so far.]

[That didn't really help, Nita. He hadn't even seen most of these fruits before. Still, he was nothing if not adventurous.

Starting with something he did know, he passed her a small cup of strawberries...snagged one for his mouth first, of course. From there, he decided to get inventive and he ended up picking up a large, pale fruit. It had a thick rind, but the smell that came to his nose when he sniffed it was sharp and wonderful.]

How about this? Though, I think it was miss labeled. There is nothing 'grape' like about this fruit...

[Peter's got the right idea on the strawberries; Nita snagged one for herself too as she put them in.

She gave him a wry look at the 'grapefruit', though.]

That's gotta be cut up, first, with one of the big knives. The part you eat's on the inside.

Couldn't tell you about the name, though.

I thought as much. I wanted to be sure you thought it would be a good match before I broke into it, though. No need to open it if I wasn't going to use it.

[Moving over to the cutting station, he picked up one of the knives and made quick work of removing the rind from the flesh. He wasn't skilled with cooking, per say, but blades were a comfortable thing in his hand.

Once it was skinned and halved, he skillfully used the tip of the knife to flick the seeds into the waste bin before bringing it back over to hand it to Nita.]

Should I pick more?

And that should be fine, no worries.

[She put the flesh in, tearing it into smaller sections as she went.]

Neat trick with the seeds, too; I always had trouble copying my mom when she did things like that.

[He glanced up from where he'd been watching her put the fruit into the blender, then another quick glance back over to the bin. It took a second for that confused curl of his brow to ease, and then he just shrugged a shoulder and shifted to lean a little more comfortably against the table.]

Knife skills are a must have when one doesn't have any other utensils. I'll teach you if you'd like? Call it a trade, a smoothie for a skill.

[Nita looked surprised - and pleased - at the offer.]

Really? We're getting more out of this party than we bargained for.

[She winked.]

I'm game if you are.

[Once she finished with the fruit, she found a nearby outlet and made it clear how she was plugging it in.]
