With the coming of Lasra, there was at least one new shop opening its doors in the quiet bustle of the Shopping District! There had been a distinct lack of places to simply sit in that district, but look no further if you were searching for such a spot. There are warm lights on inside, with the sights of large, comfy chairs and couches beckoning from the welcoming windows.

At times, from the same windows, you can catch sight of a pink little girl sitting near the glass, thumbing through an honest-to-goodness paper book.

Walking through the door would earn you a soft greeting. Welcome to Petals & Pages~

[ Cyan scoots closer to Zenitsu, holding her phone between them so he could follow along. ]

Oh, yeah! I know it lights up when I touch the screen, but I have no clue what everything does...

[ He gets the screen lit up again and shows the tablet over to Cyan. ]

So whenever you want to do certain things, you just tap on them. It's really - [ She holds a hand up. ] handy?

[zapdope]

[ Handy......

Zenitsu starts giggling at the pun. ] H-handy!! Because hand-held...! Uheehuee!

Anyways... ] I remember that this thing can be a phone and a letter-sender? How do you do both?

I'm just gonna guess and we can adjust later if need be.

[ He's definitely a grandpa if he laughed at that garbage, yeesh

But she is pretty happy her dumb joke got a laugh. ]

Let me show you. [ She taps their phones together. ] You do this, and you can add someone to your contacts. Like an address book! Now we're friends and can message each other. [ She opens the messaging app on her phone and sends Zenitsu a little message: ]

Hi, Zenitsu-san! 💖

[ Zenitsu watches intently at what Cyan's doing, and when he sees the message pop up only seconds after she sent it... It's like lightning struck. ]

The message being sent...in an instant?? No writing it down, dialing number? How's it possible???

[ grandpa ]

We have this in 2020, too! It's come such a far way. And - and - [ Cyan's just so excited to show him everything it can do!! She stands up and quickly rushes to hide behind a couch across the room (which you can still see her ears over), then calls Zenitsu on his phone. ]

[zapdope]

[ Zenitsu jumps as Cyan practically runs away from him. Wha--?! He didn't say or do anything that would suddenly upset her did he?! He suddenly feels very lonely with the other leaving him so abruptly. ] Cyan-chan! Where'd you gooo—

[ And then the tablet goes off. He doesn't even know how to configure the tablet settings, so it rings VERY LOUDLY all of the sudden, as well as suddenly vibrate in his hands.

He shrieks and drops the tablet. ]

[nyani]

[ Cyan's head pops up. Oh, yeah, that would happen. She forgot he might not be used to that. She quickly and quietly skitters out from behind the couch, picks the phone up, puts it back in his hand, points at the button on the screen he needs to push, then quickly runs back behind the couch again, peeking over to make sure he does it. ]

[zapdope]

[ Zenitsu is completely lost and scared of the device, so the entire time Cyan's gesturing Zenitsu looks at her with confused look on his face.

When he watches Cyan run back around the couch, he confusedly presses the button he was pointed towards and looks at the screen, completely lost.

This tablet has no shape or form of a phone receiver, how do you even use it as a phone? ]

[nyani]

[ She points at the phone, then puts it up to her ear. Do it! She mouths. ]

[zapdope]

[ Zenitsu looks at Cyan and confusedly mimics what she's doing, warily moving the screen to the side of his face. ]

He...H-hello?

[nyani]

Hi, Zenitsu-san! [ She tries to keep her voice down so only the tablet picks it up. ]

[zapdope]

[ Oh! Oh, this is so cute. Zenitsu understands what Cyan's trying to do, and it definitely would've worked perfectly!

...If it weren't for his ears being so keen. ]

Oh! That's so cool! But sorry...I can still hear you even without the phone thing...

[ And Cyan just leaves the building. Bye. ]

[ For a moment he's scared she might have picked up on his ability that he never told her of, but when he hears her speak outside the building as well as through the tablet, he gets what she's still trying to demonstrate.

For a second, he thought about letting her know, but at the same time he was still feeling awkward talking about his own abilities and didn't want to scare her as well, so... ]

Oohh... This is really cool! Gosh, not even having wires and you can call from anywhere?? Do you know how it all works, Cyan-chan?

I think it's just signals in the air. Like, uhm... like radios! Oh, when were those invented...? Maybe not a good comparison. [ She just starts muttering, trying to think of how she can describe something like this when he's from a time so far removed from her own. ]

And when Cyan practically yells into the phone Zenitsu instinctively pulls the phone away from his face and covers his other ear as well because delayed surround sound. ]

[ She stays on the phone as she walks back inside to meet him again. ]

But yeah! You can even use earphones so you don't have to put it up to your ear all the time and then you can text and - [ Oh, she's back in front of him. She hangs the phone up and puts it into her pocket. ] talk at the same time.

Ear phones? What are they? [ Not even earplugs were invented during his time, so he just looks at Cyan with a completely lost look. ]
