With the coming of Lasra, there was at least one new shop opening its doors in the quiet bustle of the Shopping District! There had been a distinct lack of places to simply sit in that district, but look no further if you were searching for such a spot. There are warm lights on inside, with the sights of large, comfy chairs and couches beckoning from the welcoming windows.

At times, from the same windows, you can catch sight of a pink little girl sitting near the glass, thumbing through an honest-to-goodness paper book.

Walking through the door would earn you a soft greeting. Welcome to Petals & Pages~

[ Tanjiro nods. What a tired looking man, he hopes he's okay. ]

I'm sorry mister, I meant to talk to you. That finely crafted toy, that's suzaku, right?

Hell if I know. Not like any creature I've ever seen. [As he was just moment ago mentally comparing them to all the creatures he knows. He offers it out to Tanjiro so he can better inspect it for himself since it seems like he might know.]

What's a suzaku?

[ He gingerly inspects through the doll as much as he can. Toys are far more intricate and finely crafted here than at home, maybe it's the increase of skills learned by the people of Havenwell. ]

Suzaku is one the four sacred beasts in the legends told in my home. These four beasts are guardians of the four areas of the world, Suzaku guards the south.

[ He looks at the doll again. ]

But I'm not sure if it really is Suzaku, because it's usually depicted with red feathers.

[kahunanu]

Kinda' like the four here.

[There was one with birds here too, wasn't there--except it was in the west, not south. He squints at the plushie.]

Looks a little unintimidating for a god, even if it was red.

Maybe, but maybe it's suppose to make it look friendly for younger kids.

[ Though Zenitsu does come in mind when he thinks of more kindly or comforting depictions of animals, legendary beasts or otherwise. ]

It's really soft, it seems more like for smaller kids.

[He makes a muted laugh noise.]

Must be why you like it so much.

[Everyone is a kid by default around Nanu, ok.]

I guess so!

[ Because yeah you're an old dude. ]

It might help them feel safer about the legendary beasts too, that they know the beasts are here to protect you.

[Hm. Now they're starting to sound like Legendary Pokemon...]

Well, they're not here now, are they? [He's an old dude and unfortunately a cynical one too.] It'd seem counter productive for Havenwell's gods to summon other competition.

[scentsitivity]

Gods can coexist, there's already more than one in Havenwell, for them to bring a reminder of for visitor seems more like motivation to me.

[ He inspects the stuff toy once more. ]

I mean, people believed them differently, but I think they meant it so we know they're not vengeful gods. If they really see it as competition, they wouldn't let people have any reminders of other deities.

[kahunanu]

They're fickle beasts. Say one thing, do another. Do one thing, mean another.

They work in mysterious ways, I don't think humans could really understand what they're thinking.

The supernatural doesn't always have a specific scent.

[kahunanu]

Yeah, scent. Everything has a scent, except spirits I think.

[ It's not that weird. (It is.) ]
