It's not like he didn't have the chance to bail at least a couple of times up until this point, so it's really only on him that he's still along for the ride. More than that, though, the idea of her doing all of this on her own strikes him as... maybe a little lonely? Like coming in and burning the sash on her own would have been a far more spiteful act than a devious endeavor, but that might just be speculation on his part. Or maybe the idea of not being here for potential damage control would have worried him too much. The thought isn't exactly a great one, either way.

"It's all right," he says, offering a dismissive little wave of his hand as he does. "It's been an interesting adventure."
