Teo's strange reaction distracts him from his old grudge for at least a moment as he glances at him with mild concern. But before he can press, he's swung back into bitterness by his statement.
"Don't get the wrong idea. I'm not generous, much less for someone like that. There's nothing good about him or the time we spent together... he never cared about our cause. He never bothered to look for me after what happened, either. I just have no choice but to endure his presence as a chosen wizard."
Even if he's overstating things somewhat, it's true enough that he still holds a strong grudge against him. He'd have been just fine never meeting him again...
