[Oho. He tilts his head, wondering at the recognition there—or was it? It could have just been excitement at the story taking a heroic turn! And if it was recognition, it could mean just about anything. Maybe he'll poke at it later. He's got to finish his grand tale!]

He had no choice, of course! He had to take Meta Knight down in honorable combat, even if Meta Knight himself had turned his back on his honor. So he took up the sword and challenged him to a duel! . . . Even with a corrupted heart, Meta Knight only fights on the balanced field of swordsmanship, you see. Part of his honor must have been left in there after all. But he was no match for Kirby's heroic spirit and pure heart!

And so, Kirby fought until Meta Knight's mask cracked right in two, revealing his adorable face!
