Most begin by finding a place to stay. Beyond that... our movement is fairly limited to the city, given the state of the world beyond. The citizens are... slowly adjusting to finding ways to meet needs, but in many ways they tend to err on the side of being overprotective.

As for what you might do... that depends on your interests. Perhaps there is something you may not have had a chance for that you might have time to do now, depending on what you may have been accustomed to otherwise. Or learning more about the world and its circumstances. Most of the time there are... few dangers, though there have been incidents. Although we sometimes find ourselves with personal difficulties as well. It would not be remiss to... build friendships or alliances with those you meet here.
