Probably.
[He shows no indication that he knows what he's missing, though. It could be one of a million things, crucial or insignificant. Gods don't have that much power, not all people should be saved, humans can't live forever, or just what is he protecting them from?
He doesn't care; he won't apologize for the unrealistic dream of a doomed idiot who doesn't understand her world, or her god, or even her power. There's probably a good reason why choices have always been made for him. He's ill-equipped to make real decisions for the masses like this, to determine what paths any world or people should take. The difference between choosing which electives to take in high school versus what lands to surrender to Niflheim so the king can live long enough for a grown son to take over for him are as vast as Taelpar's empty chasm. Isn't that the reason he'd followed where he was led ever since his journey began, under the command of great men like his father or the forceful hand of the Astrals who chose him to safeguard their star? Don't gods exist to know better than people like him?
Still... his answer won't change, not really. Whatever it is he forgot, he wished for what truly matters to him, nothing more or less.]
