There is nothing to worry about right now. A very true statement. There are currently no giant monsters in the immediate vicinity that need battling, nor scheming actresses trying to throw anybody off of balconies.

So why does something still feel a little off?

Shinji says he's fine, and not to worry, but he never did deny the possibility that anything in her head could have ever happened. If it was something the gods put in her head, that would certainly be an adequate explanation, but... why all that? Would they really make it up just to upset her?

There's a pause, and Kyoko gives Shinji a small, soft smile before she reaches out. She only wants to fold her hands around one of his, just for a moment, that's really all.

"You're right... but it's just a little hard to let it go, since it's about you. You know?"
