... time means little to me now, but know that it was not a natural lived life by any means, Pyra. Only continued existence. That... is because of what you have seen. You know this.

[ Existence, much like the robots here. Which is why she had emphasized the amount of years at all, even if she did not truly know how many had come before, and that little mattered. Had she not been taken to that rift, she may well have soon passed otherwise, or if it was the child she bore that drained her limited vitality to see him born at all.

The choice was life... but little could they know it would be at the cost of all else that mattered.

Perhaps she had never been meant to raise him, and instead of one way she left him bereft in another. Try as she might, the reminders would all turn to that. Pyra reminds her of credit, and she's not the first, but it's always the first to lose sight of, too. Her own efforts, when they weren't so damaging. ]


... and ... perhaps I will give you that. It was the love I felt for my son that made me want to change, once I was able to realize the truth after all that time. But had I not met Taako, or Lup, or Prompto, I may not have been able to do so much -- no, I would not have been capable on my own, hurt that I was.
