That gentle ruffle of his hair does a great job of putting an extra little flutter in his chest, even if that was probably not the intention at all. Jeez...! More importantly, though, why would he be disappointed? He never placed any particular expectations on Kai in the first place, so what he has been able to learn, and the fact that he has been able to learn it in the first place, has been a pleasant surprise.
Besides that, he doesn't go out of his way to say much about himself either, and even then, they haven't really had a whole lot of friction between them for it - that's what's really made it easy. "Maybe it's because you never asked for a lot in the first place?" That would make sense. "So, with all this time we've had already, and no real pressure, it's all felt really... natural."
Outside of clear cases of divine intervention, anyway. Still, he can't really say those have all been wholly unpleasant, even when they had been kind of unwelcome in the first place.
He lets out another content sigh, his next thought slipping out quietly on the heels of it, "'S probably why it was so easy to fall in love with you."
