[It starts out as blurry and unintelligible at first, and Noctis, who is no stranger to unexpected visions, stops in his tracks to wait it out. It takes a few hours before it happens again, a little more clearly. He can hear muddled voices, the rattle of a train. And this time, he can see faces. More specifically his own, and the blue flash of a sword called from the Armiger.
It's all he needs to understand the source. He doesn't have to wait for the vision to fully clear before he knows exactly what it is. He was there, he remembers it all. Except that he'd viewed it from a very different perspective before. Seeing it now from Prompto's point of view, feeling his confusion and fear, the hurt that Noct's sudden betrayal had caused... and witnessing the unbridled hatred for what he thought Prompto was at the time in his own eyes... that part's new.
When the vision ends he stumbles back against the nearest wall to regain his bearings, hands pressed tautly against his head. Gods... he'd really looked like that? That was what Prompto had to see that day? That was the last thing he saw before he fell - no, was pushed - off the train and left alone in enemy territory?
He'd apologized, back in Zegnautus. Seeing this makes him realize he sure as hell hadn't apologized enough.
It takes him a minute, but with a shaky exhale he pushes off the wall and gets moving. He has to find Prompto.]
