OPEN - Intro
♥ Who: Devon Darconin and OPEN
♥ Where: All over!
♥ When: Shortly after Devon's arrival.
♥ What: Trying to understand this crazy place and not get majorly lost.
♥ Rating: Likely PG
Prompt 1 or 3 - Awakening or Stuck Like Glue
Don't panic. Don't panic. Don't panic. Don't panic.
The words run in repeated litany through Devon's head as he tries to make sense of this whole new world. Losing everything he's ever known is a pretty recurring theme in his life, and he doesn't typically handle it well. The only reason he's not a melted puddle on the ground (aside from the fact that he doesn't do that in public because his rank prevents him from letting anyone see weakness) is the little dragon settled happily on his shoulder. With her tail draped over Devon's opposite shoulder and curled around his upper arm, she at least seems incredibly happy.
"Kyuu~"
Devon smiles and strokes his finger over the dragon's head. Oddly enough, her pale body appears to be shifting, almost like it's made up of water - because it is.
"At least you're still here with me, Aquaras."
It meant he hadn't been completely abandoned again, which seriously buoyed his spirits.
"Apparently we're supposed to find some kind of place to live..."
Though how, he has no real idea. Navigating the congestion is going to be hard enough even if he knew where he was going, which he doesn't. As for reading a map, that will be next to impossible.
He sets off anyway, staff out in front of him to make sure he doesn't run into anything. Those walking nearby might notice a slight breeze when he's close. Together it should keep him from running smack into someone, but brushing up against somebody unintentionally is a definite possibility, especially when the street gets more crowded.
((Feel free to decide if you want to get stuck to him or stick to the first prompt and have a more normal meeting. You're also welcome to chose a different layout for responding if you so desire.))
Prompt 4
A puzzled frown mars Devon's face as he tips his head up toward the sky.
"Strange..."
He can sense the rain falling even though he's in an area that's currently clear. While that in itself isn't strange, the fact that the rain appears to be falling in an almost grid like pattern is definitely weird. Natural rain doesn't fall that way. This level of uniformity makes Devon think it's coming from some outside source, but if it were he would feel that. Instead all he feels from the sky and where the water is starting is the typical clouds.
Devon takes a few steps forward and evaluates again, wondering if maybe being directly under a rainy section would make a difference in what he can sense from the water. Unfortunately it doesn't as he's left just as confused as before.
Anyone nearby might be incredibly confused too, though for a different reason. While Devon is clearly standing under the rain where any normal person would be drenched, he appears completely dry.
