Somehow, it was a little bit easier to grasp the idea of finding a mountain while they were here, together and gazing over misty mountain slopes. There was a greater part of him that simply was not ready to think about other mountains. The concern had already been planted before now, a small worry that tickled the back of his mind that had not grown strong enough for him to notice.

Were the mountains she could reach the same as his? Was that a promise just waiting to be broken? Those concerns would come later. For now, these little moments were enough.
