The touch at her back had stilled as Kai watched the kids wander off in the trees. It stayed right there though, the warmth of another person a nice reminder to have. The kids weren't gone for long, the scene morphing a bit like Kyoko's had done, a modge podge of different afternoons.

Kai blinked, and there the boys were, carefully creeping up on a beetle hanging out on a log.
