With the coming of Lasra, there was at least one new shop opening its doors in the quiet bustle of the Shopping District! There had been a distinct lack of places to simply sit in that district, but look no further if you were searching for such a spot. There are warm lights on inside, with the sights of large, comfy chairs and couches beckoning from the welcoming windows.

At times, from the same windows, you can catch sight of a pink little girl sitting near the glass, thumbing through an honest-to-goodness paper book.

Walking through the door would earn you a soft greeting. Welcome to Petals & Pages~

[Which part was nice and cute? Maybe she really had unlocked the cute potentials! Somehow! Did cuteness usually inspire such a reaction? Vianca's slow blink happened again as Zenitsu took her hand and giggled.

Okay. Well.

Part of her wondered if he needed a glass of water for this not!fever, and the other part wondered if actually this was a potty dance. These were very opposite things.]

I am glad you are feeling okay. I do not have many medical supplies in this world.

[This still seemed objectively incorrect, but perhaps that was just the result of living at a high school. Weird stuff, that.]

Have you made many new friends then? Beyond what you do as an emissary.

Oh. A secret adventure. That made being unsure about reading the journal make even more sense. Still, Vianca was pretty sure it wouldn't be a problem for Goofy to read it. It was his own adventure, after all. It just meant maybe she couldn't ask to take a peek. That was okay.

"Was there a reason it was a secret?"

The entertainment district tends to have music playing from the VR cafes and things like that. There is usually some at the festivals as well.

I can't recall actually seeing anyone performing though.

I guess, sure. But if you grow a person then you can't just abandon them, no matter how they're born. If he couldn't take care of you, he should've found someone to do it instead of just leaving you to do whatever.

[His tone is firm on this; he will not be deterred. Kids! Should be! Cared for!]

"The wrong people might use that information to do bad stuff." Goofy explained, clicking his tongue in disappointment.

"There are nasty folks who'd want to rule over everything."

[ She's saying that, but he does pick up from the sounds that it was at least a teeny bit. He gives a small frown at that. ]

Well... If you say so. If Tanjiro does give you a hard time, [ most likely not, but JUST IN CASE (???) ] just let me know, okay?

That definitely won't be necessary. [ What kind of problems could Tanjiro possibly give her that would require calling in help? ] Please put it all out of your mind. --Um, and for now, this is pretty shoddy of me, but could you accept an IOU for some sweets? Just until they exist, or the ingredients to make them exist....

[Vianca didn't disagree, but she couldn't change the reality of what happened to suit this.]

I suppose he thought the school would be alright for that even after he left. My sisters all found better families there, so it worked in a way.

[ Cyan looks around the store again. It reminds her of a nice cafe, but her style of music might be too loud for Vianca to offer it here.

However it does give her an idea: maybe she just needs to ask everyone! ] Do you like music?

I'd like to think so! You'd have to ask them too. But I'd be sad to hear that they didn't think of me the same way. That goes for you too, Vianca! We're still getting to know one another, but that doesn't mean we can't be friends. I'd rather be a friend who becomes a better friend.

[This at least sounds more earnest, and he leans happily against her side, blinking up at her under his hood.]

Oh, yeah! No worries! And it doesn't have to be dango or anything like that, if you find anything that's tasty let me know! I'd love to try them!

[ And you know, spend more time hanging out with new friends and stuff. ]

That does sound like a good kind of friend to be. You do sound like a grown-up sometimes.

[A topic that had been skirted around several times between showing newcomers to the housing district or casual night time heart-to-hearts. At least this time she had a sincere answer, so everything was fine. She couldn't say she'd completely beaten winter, but her plan had gone more or less smoothly.

She wasn't taking up anyone's space, she wasn't getting underfoot, and no one had had to feel obligated to worry about her. A success.]

I live here.

But you just got this place. What about before that?

Other places. There was a house when I needed it, but I did not like it very much so I did not stay there often.

[It was as quiet as a library in there.

I don't dislike music. [She said it carefully, not wanting the rest of her answer to make it seem like she looked unfavorably on Cyan's passions.]

I do not actively listen to it though.

"Ah... People that liked the Darkness?"

Capital letter D darkness, at that. You couldn't have night time without some regular kind of darkness.

[There was a very small, for-Golisopod-earholes-only squeaky sound of surprise as he nudged her, but she didn't duck away.

If only Bret still played Erika, she'd be staring intensely at all you flower boys. Vianca had no such intimate knowledge with the names and knowledge of every world's plants. A lot of the berries, yes-- they'd often keep a stock of those both in the nurse's office and at FDC's Pokemon Center to work in a pinch (and a treat!).]

Oh.

[She watched the big pokemon shuffle around, making more silent notes about where things could get scooted a little. It was a little intimidating to get compared to another friend, sometimes. Vianca knew she was likely not like this person at all.]

I appreciate the help. I've never tried to grow things on my own before.

"Darkness ain't so bad, in of itself." One of the odd things Goofy had learned. "But it needs to be balanced with the Light."

[Oh. The squeak does get his attention, and Golisopod backs away instantly, tilting his head to make sure she wasn't too startled. He's a pretty scary-looking bug, but he's actually rather soft in the personality department - very unlike his human trainer. Golisopod has the patience of a saint, and adore children enough to let them climb on and play with him even when he's meditating.

Speaking of which, after he's watered the plants proper, he'll shuffle back toward his trainer and seek a place to sit to do just that - meditate. Somewhere off in a corner, perhaps, where he won't take up much space, or be in anyone's way. Guzma, meanwhile, can't help but chuckle at the spectacle. It's really, really not hard to win his partner over. Treats, a gentle pat, playing with him...he's pretty easy to make friends with, again...very unlike his trainer. Vianca does indeed remind him of Lillie, and maybe even Guzma too...a little, but they're certainly not the same.

Vianca is her own person, after all. Same with Lillie. There are similarities, sure, but each one are special in their own right. Special enough to win even Guzma over pretty quickly, in fact.]

Well, don't look at me. [He holds up his hands, shaking his head.] Ain't got no green nothing on me, despite, uh...stuff. [He clears his throat, loudly, changing the subject quickly. No need to travel down that road, thank you sir.]

I usually, uh...break things, not make 'em grow.
